Lily Turner didn’t understand why Henry Thompson would say such a thing, nor did she know where his confidence ca from. Did she really look like she was just saying it out of anger?
"Whether you believe it or not, that’s exactly how I feel."
After speaking, she cast a cold glance at him and turned to walk into the yard.
"Since you’ve already kicked out of the ga, why are you still going in?" Watching Lily as she walked towards the courtyard, Henry shouted after her.
Upon hearing Henry’s words, Lily stopped, but she did not turn back to look at him. "I’m going in to make it clear to them that there is no possibility for us in this lifeti."
Seeing the four adults exchanging pleasantries just now, she had already guessed this much. Now hearing him say that, she was one hundred percent certain of her mother’s true intentions in calling her back.
She had to go in and make it clear to those four adults that there would be no possibility for her and him in this lifeti. Even if she hadn’t signed the marriage license with Easton Hols, she wouldn’t accept the person who betrayed her again.
Upon hearing this, Henry instinctively followed her. At the door, he caught up with Lily. "Lily Turner! You better not play any tricks on , or you’ll regret it."

"Henry Thompson! You’re not even worth the effort for to play tricks on." Make her regret it? How had she not realized before that he could be so shaless? Lily shot a glare at Henry through her sunglasses, took out the key from her bag, opened the door, and walked in. Henry followed her inside.
Seeing the two of them walk in one after the other, the four people chatting in the living room stopped talking and turned their heads to look at the two who entered.
"Uncle! Auntie! Dad! Mom!" Lily called out to each of the four adults sitting on the sofa as soon as she stood in the living room. After a pause, she continued, "I know the purpose of you all gathering here today, but I’m afraid I’ll disappoint you. Henry Thompson and I will not reconcile. There’s no chance in this lifeti."
She blurted out everything she needed to say in one breath, afraid she wouldn’t have the courage to speak if she paused.
Upon hearing Lily’s words, Sophia Wood suddenly stood up from the sofa. If it weren’t for the presence of the three mbers of the Thompson Family, she would have rushed up to scold Lily loudly for being immature.
"Child, weren’t you the one crying and asking to help you reconcile with Henry? Now that Henry is here, you’re throwing a tantrum."
Sophia was frustrated with Lily, but she had to hold back now and speak to Lily in a gentle, pleasant manner.
What had her mother accepted from the Thompson Family to push her into such a pit without any bottom line?

Lily could never have imagined that her own mother, Sophia Wood, would do sothing like this. She was montarily stunned, heartbrokenly stunned.
"Mom! Am I really your biological daughter?"
She stared blankly at Sophia standing by the sofa. At this mont, she felt a desire to bang her head against the wall and end her life—anything to avoid facing these people, especially her own mother who was helping others hurt her.
"Child, you’re talking nonsense again. If you’re not my daughter, whose daughter could you be?" Sophia took large strides to Lily’s side and raised her hand to touch Lily’s head in a gesture that seed caring, but her angry eyes betrayed her true emotions at that mont.
