What he heard wasn’t Lily Turner’s voice, but the voice of an unfamiliar man. Henry Thompson was only montarily taken aback, not surprised or bewildered at all.
"Is this your intention, or hers?"
Henry didn’t ask who the person on the other end of the line was. In his view, Lily Turner never lacked n flirting with her, and the man speaking to him now was just one of them.
The person on the other end did not ask who he was in the first sentence, nor did he show any surprise, which left Easton Hols a bit confused and intrigued, but he didn’t dwell on it too much.
"It’s the intention of both us as husband and wife."
He deliberately emphasized the words "husband and wife," and when he said them, he put a bit more weight into the tone, just to make sure the person on the other end didn’t ignore it.
"Husband and wife?!"
Easton’s deliberate words caught Henry Thompson’s attention on the other end of the line.
He originally thought the man talking to him was rely flirting with Lily Turner, but what he never expected was that this man claid he and Lily were husband and wife.
Upon hearing this, Easton’s face showed a triumphant smile, "That’s right! Lily and I have already registered our marriage. We are now legally married."
"So! Please, as her ex-fiancé, don’t bother my wife anymore. If I find you harassing my wife again, don’t bla for not being courteous to you."
Without giving Henry Thompson a chance to speak, Easton Hols hung up the phone unceremoniously.
He didn’t care about the man’s reaction on the other end, nor did he care what the man would think. These were not matters he needed to concern himself with.
She went to see Henry Thompson at her place last night; no wonder she seed so heartbroken.
Just now, hearing that man nad Tang say she would never reconcile with him in this lifeti, it seed the man didn’t want to reconcile with her either.
But why did that Tang say she’s saying one thing and doing another? What misunderstanding lies between them?
Could it be that her family still hopes she’ll be with that Tang man?
The affair between the man nad Tang and her friend was all over the internet, her family couldn’t possibly be unaware that Tang had betrayed her.
While Easton Hols held Lily Turner’s phone, full of doubt, Lily erged from the bathroom. Seeing her co out, he quickly put her phone back in its place.
"I’m going to sleep first."
Lily Turner didn’t notice anything unusual. She walked over, grabbed her phone, and headed to the bed swiftly, as if fearing that if she moved slowly, soone might stop her.
Easton had stood up, but he didn’t follow Lily’s steps. Instead, he turned off the TV and walked towards the bedroom door.
"You sleep, I’ll go to the study to deal with so things." He gave her a deep look as she prepared to get into bed, then opened the door and left the bedroom.
Hearing this, Lily Turner, about to get into bed, paused for a mont and instinctively turned her head towards the door. When she did, Easton Hols had already closed the bedroom door, and she didn’t even catch a glimpse of his back.
After confirming she hadn’t misheard, Lily let out a long sigh of relief, kicked off her shoes, and slipped into bed.
Due to special reactions during special tis, Lily fell into a deep sleep shortly after lying down, sleeping very soundly.
