Charles Thompson spoke with a very unpleasant tone and attitude. Lily Turner knew that the call just now was from Henry Thompson. She didn't know if he would return, but she knew his father already believed these things were true. Her purpose in coming today was achieved, so there was no need for her to stay any longer.

"Uncle! Aunt! I'll be going now," she said, standing up from the sofa.

"The matter hasn't been clarified yet, you can't leave now." Amber Wood spoke up to stop Lily Turner from leaving. Amber was already clear about so of the issues in her heart. What she wasn't clear about was Lily Turner's attitude. Lily was never the daughter-in-law she wanted. Now that this perfect opportunity arose, she needed to resolve everything at once—she couldn't let this chance slip away.

Lily Turner also knew that Amber Wood didn't like her. In the past, she had always tried various ways to win Amber's favor. Their relationship only improved a few days before the wedding, but after such a wedding debacle, their relationship reverted back to its previous state. However, now she didn't care anymore.

"Oh! My bad, I forgot to ntion the most important thing." Lily Turner wasn't trying to make a fuss; she truly forgot to ntion the main issue. She felt quite grateful to Amber Wood for stopping her, otherwise, she would have had to make a second trip. She glanced at both Amber Wood and Charles Thompson and added, "Uncle! Aunt! Henry and I have broken up; we won't be getting married."

Although they hadn't officially broken up yet, the way things were going, a breakup was inevitable.

"Lily! You can't break up with Henry. What if there's so misunderstanding among all this?" Charles Thompson regarded Lily Turner as the ideal choice for a daughter-in-law. How could he stand by and watch everything fall apart?

Hearing her husband say this, Amber Wood cast a dissatisfied glance at him. But seeing that he looked so upset, she decided not to provoke him at that mont.

Lily Turner gave a bitter smile: "Uncle! That woman is my best friend, and I personally witnessed them together in the marital ho."

Even not seeing it with her own eyes, it felt no different than witnessing it firsthand. Recalling that day, her heart still felt particularly hurt.

"What?!"

Not only was Charles Thompson surprised, but even Amber Wood found the matter unbelievable. She blurted out in shock.

Lily Turner didn't want to bring up that matter again, nor did she want to stay any longer with the Thompson couple, "If you don't believe , you can ask Henry himself. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll go first."

With that said, she turned and walked out of the living room in a hurry, completely ignoring Charles Thompson's call to her.

"Lily!"

Charles Thompson anxiously called out as he watched Lily Turner's hurriedly departing figure.

"Stop calling, she's already gone."

It was only after seeing Lily Turner leave that Amber Wood snapped out of her earlier astonishnt. This outco was exactly what she wanted to see. No matter who that girl really was, her goal of driving Lily Turner away was finally accomplished.

Hearing this, Charles Thompson withdrew his gaze from the door direction and turned back to Amber Wood sitting beside him, "You've turned a perfectly good situation into this ss. That foolish boy is spoiled by you. Tell him, his wife can only be Lily, and he shouldn't plan on marrying anyone else."

With those words, he angrily got up and left the living room for the study.
