While Easton Hols and Lily Turner were having lunch at a restaurant, Alia Linton, filled with anger and resentnt, went to her father, Callix Linton’s place.
At that mont, Callix Linton had just finished lunch and was about to return to his room for a nap. Seeing his daughter, Alia, who had suddenly appeared at ho, he instinctively paused his steps.
"You really are a rare visitor!"
Seeing his daughter, who hadn’t visited in a long ti, Callix couldn’t help but grumble.
Alia’s mind was preoccupied with the matters concerning Easton Hols and Lily Turner, so she ignored her father Callix’s complaint. She stepped forward and supported her father, "Dad!"
"I ca to see you. Have you eaten?" She didn’t dare to directly ask her father about her son’s affairs, opting instead to detour to the unrelated topic of eating.
"Ca to see ? Hmph!"
Callix snorted coldly, pulling away the hand supporting his arm. He spiritedly walked into the living room.
Seeing this, Alia quickly followed him. At the living room door, she caught up with Callix, who was a step ahead, and once again, without concern, supported her father.
"Dad! It’s not that I don’t want to visit you, I’ve just been really busy lately." Alia explained to her father while supporting him as they walked into the living room.
Upon hearing this, Callix turned his head to look at Alia, his face etched with displeasure from years of wrinkles, "Then just keep busy. Why bother coming here to see an idle old man like ?"
With that, he shook off the hand holding him once more and strode over to sit on the sofa.
"Dad!"
Alia followed and sat down beside her father. Seeing her sit beside him, Callix shifted over, distancing himself from her.
"Dad! I was wrong. I promise to make more ti for you in the future. Please don’t be mad at anymore." She didn’t continue to move closer but instead stayed where she was, admitting her fault to her father.
"I don’t care if you make ti for . You should save your ti for that father and son duo." Like Easton Hols, Callix held deep resentnt toward Alia, and the tone and attitude of both grandfather and grandson were remarkably similar.
The scene and atmosphere at that mont reminded Alia of the situation she had faced with Easton earlier, and she let out an almost inaudible sigh.
The two had indeed spent so much ti together that the way they spoke and their expressions were strikingly similar. Both had many grievances against her.
"Dad! Why are you blaming like Easton? That father and son are my husband and his son."
Alia felt very helpless, with her father and biological son on one side and her husband and his half-brother on the other.
Both sides were people she loved, and it was hard for her to give up either side, wasn’t it?
Hearing Alia ntion that father and son duo and Easton, Callix suddenly beca angry, raising his hand to slap the empty space beside him, "You dare ntion Easton to ? For that father and son, you threw him my way and thereafter ignored him."
"I don’t mind if you neglect , the old man, but Easton is your own flesh and blood. How could you be so heartless?"
Callix was so angry he pointed at Alia, who was sitting not far from him, his face full of rage and dissatisfaction.
These words had been stifled in his heart for many years, this frustration bottled up for so long, and this resentnt accumulated over the years.
Today he poured it all out, finally feeling a sense of relief.
