Under Bella Carter’s insistent persuasion, Lily Turner decided to stay for so dumplings.
Seeing her idol agree to her invitation, Bella Carter was overjoyed. With her big belly, she bustled around, fetching drinks for Lily Turner one mont and fruits the next.
"Sister-in-law! You should stop busying around."
When Bella Carter turned to pour water, Lily Turner quickly grabbed her, worried that she might accidentally hurt Bella’s unborn child. She stood up and carefully pushed Bella onto the sofa.
"I’m not eating or drinking anything now. I’m just waiting to eat dumplings, so you don’t have to run around for ." Worried that Bella Carter might stand up again regardless, Lily Turner held her arm to prevent her from standing up suddenly.
Seeing the situation, Bella Carter laughed, "Lily! Don’t hold ; I can’t run."
She was running around just now all voluntarily and happily.
"Hehe!"
Lily Turner chuckled softly and, ensuring Bella Carter wouldn’t get up again for her sake, released her grip on Bella’s arm.
Thanks to Lily Turner’s tily intervention, Bella Carter finally sat on the sofa without running around, and the two started chatting casually.
In the past, Bella Carter wouldn’t have dared to even imagine such a scenario, but now it had really happened, and she had a sowhat surreal feeling.
"Lily! Is it really you?"
Bella Carter turned her body to face Lily Turner, looking her up and down with an incredulous expression.
Seeing this, Lily Turner knew Bella Carter felt the situation was unreal, so she grabbed Bella’s hand and placed it on her leg, "Pinch and see if it feels real."
While speaking, she guided Bella’s hand to pinch her leg.
"I’m just asking to make sure; now I thoroughly believe that you are indeed Lily Turner." Of course, Bella Carter wouldn’t actually pinch Lily Turner’s leg, so she withdrew her hand and smiled at her idol.
Lily Turner returned Bella Carter’s smile with an equally bright one. After smiling, she quickly put away her smile and adopted a serious expression.
"Sister-in-law! Are you close with Evelyn Taylor?"
She could tell that the woman liked her husband, Easton Hols, and wanted to know if anything had happened between them.
Hearing this, Bella Carter’s heart skipped a beat, and just when she didn’t know how to respond appropriately, she heard the doorbell ring outside.
Ding dong! Ding dong!
"I’ll go..."
"Sister-in-law! You sit, I’ll get the door."
Lily Turner stopped Bella Carter from getting up to open the door. After stopping her, she quickly got up and went to answer the door.
The caller was an auntie sent by Bella Carter’s mother-in-law to deliver dumplings. The auntie handed the thermos to Lily Turner at the door, didn’t even step inside, exchanged a greeting with Bella Carter standing at the living room door, and then turned to leave.
Lily Turner closed the door, carrying the thermos back inside. She instinctively stopped as she reached Bella Carter.
"Sister-in-law! You hold this first, I’ll get bowls and chopsticks." Lily Turner said, handing the thermos to Bella Carter. As she turned to get the bowls and chopsticks, she suddenly rembered Jaxon Dyer and turned back, "We should wait for Captain Jaxon to return before eating."
After all, the dumplings were sent by his mom for the couple, and crashing their al was already an imposition, so it wouldn’t be right to eat before the hosts.
