Surrounded by Alia Linton and Miss Gui, Lily Turner sat on the sofa, trying to mask her fear. She looked up at Alia calmly, waiting for her to provide an explanation.
Alia didn’t keep Lily waiting for long and didn’t disappoint her either. She raised the pill in her hand in front of Lily, "The morning-after pill! You must not be unfamiliar with this kind of dication."
As she said this, a look of disdain appeared on her face.
The morning-after pill!
So it was the morning-after pill.
Hearing Alia ntion it, Lily sighed in relief. At least it wasn’t poison; otherwise, her life would have been in jeopardy.
But, what did she an by saying she wasn’t unfamiliar with this pill?
She knew what the morning-after pill was, but she had never co into contact with it, had she?
Today was her first ti seeing this pill up close. She had only heard colleagues ntion it before.
Lily wanted to stand up from the sofa, but as soon as she moved, Alia placed a hand on her shoulder, "Stay still and don’t move!"
Seeing this, Miss Gui also placed a hand on Lily’s other shoulder, but she didn’t dare say anything and simply looked down at Lily in silence.
"Auntie! It’s just a pill, right? You really don’t need to make such a big deal out of it." If they were so adamant about her not having a Hols child, then why bother arguing with this woman? Looking at the situation, it was only a matter of ti before she was kicked out of here.
As soon as Lily spoke, Alia’s eyes widened in surprise. However, she quickly recovered her usual deanor, "You really are cunning, girl. I was almost fooled by you."
Not understanding Lily’s true thoughts, Alia assud Lily’s words were an attempt to lull her into complacency and create an opportunity to escape.
"You, feed her the pill!"
Alia didn’t discuss the matter of whether or not to feed Lily anymore. She handed the pill to Miss Gui, instructing her to feed it to Lily.
"Madam! This..."
Miss Gui hesitated, mainly out of fear. She was worried about the repercussions from Easton Hols if he found out about this.
"You don’t need to fear her; she won’t be Easton’s wife for much longer." Alia mistook Miss Gui’s trepidation as respect for Lily’s status, not realizing her fear was due to Easton.
These words made Miss Gui doubtful and left Lily feeling puzzled and surprised. Both of them turned to look at Alia, their expressions varied.
"Why are you both staring at like that? Did I say anything wrong?" Alia glared at both Lily and Miss Gui, and then shouted sternly at Miss Gui, "What are you standing there for? Hurry and feed her the pill!"
After speaking, she gave Miss Gui a shove, urging her to quickly give the dicine.
Miss Gui was still afraid, but with Alia pressuring her, she felt trapped.
"Hurry up!"
Seeing Miss Gui hesitant, Alia urged her again.
Being repeatedly pushed by Alia, Miss Gui realized she couldn’t avoid the task today. She took the pill out of the box, closed her eyes, and held it up to Lily’s lips.
Lily didn’t open her mouth imdiately but instead reached up to take the pill from Miss Gui’s hand, "I have hands; I don’t need you to feed ."
With that, she put the pill into her mouth.
"Open your mouth!"
Alia suspected Lily was trying to deceive her and demanded she open her mouth to verify. She wouldn’t feel at ease until she saw Lily swallow the pill herself.
