Just before the call was about to be automatically disconnected by the system, Lily Turner answered the phone. But before she could speak, Alice Turner on the other end had already started talking, "Is it inconvenient for you to talk right now?"
Lily Turner’s state when answering the phone wasn’t very normal. Unable to see her, Alice Turner assud that it might not be convenient for her to speak right then.
"It’s fine, I’m at ho alone right now."
Lily Turner truthfully inford her about her situation here. As soon as Alice Turner spoke, Lily knew that her sister had sothing to say to her.
"You’re ho alone? Which ho? Your apartnt?" Upon learning that Lily Turner was ho alone, Alice Turner’s emotions suddenly beca agitated, her voice thick with worry and tension.
Although separated by the phone, Lily Turner deeply sensed Alice Turner’s tension and worry. At first, she didn’t understand what was going on, but upon hearing the words "which ho," she suddenly realized.
Her sister was worried that she would do sothing foolish in desperation, and a warm feeling imdiately flowed through her heart.
"Sister! I won’t do anything foolish, rest assured." She’d beco used to their mother’s ways over the years; if she couldn’t co to terms with it, she wouldn’t have been in this world long ago.
"So where are you now?"
Alice Turner was still a bit worried. Earlier, Sophia Wood had complained a lot over the phone. Despite having encountered such situations nurous tis over the years, Lily Turner had faced many heartbreaks recently, and she feared her sister might be overwheld.
"I’m now at the ho in the Military District Compound, wait a mont." Lily Turner knew Alice Turner was still sowhat worried, so to assure her concerned sister, she recorded a short video and sent it over to the person on the other end of the call, "Sister! Can you be at ease now?"
While recording the video, she added so acting elents. She had never perford in front of her family before, but today she made an exception.
After seeing the video sent by Lily Turner, Alice Turner finally felt completely relieved. But upon recalling what Sophia Wood had said over the phone, her heart tightened again.
"Why doesn’t Easton Hols’s mother like you? Is it just because you’re an actress?" Her mom had been too busy expressing discontent earlier on the phone to explain clearly.
Lily Turner was still waiting for Alice Turner to respond to what she had just asked. But, to her surprise, her sister suddenly shifted the topic to Easton’s mother.
"His mother just has so misunderstandings about , given ti, she’ll understand ."
In fact, Lily Turner wasn’t sure if Alia Linton would have a change of heart about her in the future. Given what Alia had done to her recently, she didn’t hold too much hope in her heart.
"Misunderstanding? What kind of misunderstanding could his mother have about you?" Alice Turner simply didn’t believe it was just a misunderstanding, but she didn’t dare draw conclusions as she wasn’t clear on the actual situation.
"Sister! If we didn’t know each other, what kind of person would you think I am?" Lily Turner didn’t directly answer Alice Turner’s question but instead posed another question to her sister, intending to convey sothing through it.
"Sister! I hope you answer seriously, genuinely considering a stranger." After a pause, Lily Turner added, "I’m not your sister Lily Turner right now; I’m an actress you don’t know."
