Watching the few people drinking together, Alice Turner felt quite superfluous and suddenly had the urge to leave this place.
In fact, the idea of leaving had occurred to her when she learned that Lily Turner wasn’t coming, but now the urge had grown even stronger.
Alice Turner quietly tugged on Benjamin Shaw’s sleeve, and when he felt soone pulling his sleeve, Benjamin turned his head to look. Seeing it was her sitting beside him, he asked puzzledly, "What’s up?"
By this ti, Benjamin Shaw had already drunk several glasses, and his breath carried a strong sll of alcohol. Alice Turner uncomfortably frowned and instinctively moved a little away.
"I want to leave early." She paused, expressing her desire to leave.
"Okay."
Benjamin Shaw just gave a soft "okay," considering it his response to the matter.
Alice Turner had grown accustod to Benjamin Shaw’s indifferent attitude, and although she felt uncomfortable, she didn’t say anything and stood up with her bag.
"Sister-in-law! Are you leaving?"
Benjamin Shaw and Alice Turner’s exchange was succinct, and they spoke in low tones. The others only saw them talking, but none heard what they were saying.
Thomas Fisher, sitting beside them, didn’t hear either, but seeing Alice Turner stand up with her bag, he thought she was likely leaving; you don’t usually take your bag to the restroom.
"I’m going out of town for a business trip tomorrow, so I want to go back early to pack my luggage." Although this wasn’t the fundantal reason for Alice Turner’s eagerness to leave, it was indeed true that she had to go on a business trip tomorrow.
Yet, what she hadn’t expected was that the business trip would co in handy at this mont.
"Enjoy yourselves, I’m heading out first."
Without waiting for any response from the others, she briskly left the private room.
Everyone knew that Benjamin Shaw didn’t like Alice Turner; Ryan Taylor, Easton Hols, and Thomas Fisher all knew. But what they didn’t expect was how much he disliked Alice Turner.
As Alice Turner left, he didn’t even bother to get up and see her off, not even a word of goodbye.
He didn’t say anything, nor did she.
Anyone unaware of their situation definitely wouldn’t have guessed they were husband and wife.
"Ben! Do you not like Lily Turner’s sister?" Evelyn Taylor didn’t know much about the matters between Benjamin Shaw and Alice Turner, but she could tell that Benjamin Shaw didn’t like Alice.
Because Alice Turner was Lily Turner’s sister, Evelyn Taylor was particularly interested and wanted to uncover more hidden stories.

Growing up with Evelyn Taylor, Ryan Taylor knew his sister all too well. As soon as she spoke, he knew what she was up to.
"What’s this got to do with you? Don’t poke your nose where it doesn’t belong." He thought once the drinking started, she’d quiet down, but here she was causing trouble again.
"How am I poking my nose where it doesn’t belong? I’m concerned about Ben." Evelyn Taylor spoke in a calm tone with a normal expression; her lie was as good as the truth. If you didn’t know her, you wouldn’t notice anything unusual.
Ryan Taylor wouldn’t believe Evelyn’s nonsense; worried she’d do sothing reckless, he sternly said, "You can’t even handle your own issues but interfere with others, stop it for a while."
