Lily Turner just felt a vibration, which was a new text ssage on her phone.
"What are you chatting with your sister about? It’s been long enough; shouldn’t it be my turn?"
Easton Hols had called several tis without getting through, so he had no choice but to text Lily. Seeing the ssage content, she was left with nothing but surprise and confusion.
While she was staring at the text ssage with surprise and confusion, Alice Turner’s voice suddenly ca from the phone.
It was only then that she rembered she was still on the phone with her sister. She quickly put the phone back to her ear, "Sis! I’m listening."
"What were you doing just now? You didn’t speak for ages." Alice’s tone was urgent, with a hint of curiosity.
"Sis! Let’s chat another day. Right now, I’m starving and need to go downstairs to eat." As she spoke, Lily subconsciously touched her stomach, completely unaware that the person on the other end couldn’t see her.
Hearing that Lily was hungry, Alice didn’t bother about anything else, "Alright! Hurry up and go eat; I’ll hang up."
After speaking, regardless of whether Lily had anything else to say, she decisively hung up the phone.
Beep!
Upon hearing the beep, Lily knew Alice had already hung up. She let out a long sigh of relief, set her phone to silent, and casually put it aside.
She didn’t call Easton back; instead, she grabbed the pajamas from the bedside table and headed to the bathroom.
Just after Lily got off the bed and entered the bathroom, the phone she tossed aside lit up with a call from Easton.
But what Easton didn’t know was that Lily had intentionally set the phone to silent because she didn’t want to answer his call.
This girl! What on earth is she up to?
Until the system automatically cut off the call, Easton didn’t hear Lily’s voice. He didn’t give up and dialed her number again, but the outco was the sa as before.
Easton dialed several more tis, but each result was the sa as the first, with the system automatically cutting off the call.
Oh! She’s not answering his calls?
This girl! She’s really getting out of hand, and if he doesn’t teach her a lesson soon, she’ll have him over a barrel.
While at ho taking a shower, Lily inexplicably felt a chill down her spine and involuntarily shivered.
What’s going on?
The water temperature was just right, and the bathroom was filled with warm air. Why did she suddenly feel cold?
Shaking her head in confusion, she decided not to dwell on it and began to focus on her shower.
After the shower, Lily felt much more comfortable and looked refreshed overall.
She changed into so loungewear, left the room, and went downstairs, having already forgotten about Easton waiting for her to call back.
Having not eaten properly all day, Lily was indeed a little hungry now. She walked briskly into the kitchen, and upon entering, she imdiately noticed the thermos on the counter.
Why is there a plastic bag wrapped around the thermos?
Curiously, she pulled off the plastic bag from the outside of the thermos. As soon as she opened it, she instantly realized what was going on.
Who would’ve thought that guy could be so thoughtful!
Looking at the thermos, Lily’s lips curled up in a happy smile. But in an instant, the smile froze on her face.
Oh no!
He’s still waiting for her to call back, how could she have forgotten about that?
Without worrying about anything else, Lily placed the thermos back on the counter and quickly turned to leave the kitchen.
