Over the phone, Easton Hols could clearly sense the deep resentnt in Lily Turner’s voice and sighed helplessly, "I’m sorry! I made the sa old mistake again."

Walking out from the warm, spring-like house into the cold, Lily felt the chill outside. She instinctively tugged at her jacket, wrapping herself more snugly inside it.
Braving the chilly wind, she walked to the edge of the terrace, held onto the railing with both hands, and looked up at the starry sky.
