Entering the kitchen and seeing that the food in the thermal container hadn’t been touched, Easton Hols furrowed his brows and looked at Lily Turner standing beside him, "What’s going on? Why didn’t you eat?"
Though his words sounded like a question, his tone showed no hint of accusation.
"It’s all your fault. I was about to go downstairs for dinner, but then you..."
As Lily Turner spoke to this point, she suddenly stopped. The latter part of the story wasn’t pleasant, and she decided not to bring it up to avoid making them both unhappy.
Even though Lily didn’t finish her sentence, Easton understood what she was implying, but he chose not to say it out loud.
"The food is cold now. I’ll heat it up, and you go wait for in the dining room." As he spoke, he gently pushed her towards the kitchen door.
"It’s already late. I’m not eating."
Lily hadn’t co downstairs to eat. She intended to take this opportunity to interrupt Easton from doing sothing bad to her.
She was indeed very hungry, but it was already late. She refused to eat at this ti because she feared gaining weight, which was her biggest worry and fear.
Hearing her, Easton furrowed his brows again, "Why aren’t you eating? Are you afraid of gaining weight?"
He guessed her reason for refusal the mont she said it. He couldn’t understand or accept her logic at all.
Lily didn’t answer Easton’s question. Instead, she reached out to stop him from reheating the food, "Don’t heat it up!"
Saying this, she suddenly rembered sothing and grabbed his arm, "Did you not have dinner?"
He had planned to et friends at the bar, so he must not have had a chance to eat.
"No! You’ll eat a bit with later."
Easton removed her hands from his arm and went over to heat up the food in the thermal container.
Seeing this, Lily imdiately followed, "I’ll heat the food. You go wait outside."
With that, she started to compete with him to heat the food, but he directly pushed her out of the kitchen.
Easton firmly kept Lily out of the kitchen. Seeing the tightly closed door, she felt a touch of emotion amid helplessness.
Sighing at the kitchen door, she turned and went to the dining room adjacent to the kitchen.
She didn’t wait long in the dining room before Easton ca in with the heated food. Seeing him carrying the food, Lily quickly got up and went to the kitchen to fetch him a bowl.
This ti she moved faster, not giving him a chance to stop her.
When Lily returned, she had an extra pair of chopsticks, a spoon, and a bowl in her hand. She placed them in front of Easton, "You must be very hungry now, right? Go ahead and eat."
After saying this, she didn’t leave but instead sat down next to him.
He had suggested she eat with him earlier. She declined the food but accepted staying with him.
"I am very hungry now."
Easton gave Lily a deep look before serving himself a bowl of rice. She sat there quietly watching him.
Serving the rice, picking it up, taking the chopsticks...
"Open your mouth!"
Seeing the chopsticks with food suddenly appear near her mouth, Lily was stunned and instinctively shook her head, "I—um..."
Catching her as she was about to refuse, Easton stuffed the food into her mouth, "If you’re hungry, eat. Even if you gain weight, I won’t mind. But if you damage your stomach by starving, I will mind."
