Looking at her tear-stained face in the mirror, Lily Turner sighed deeply. That guy outside was right; she was his wife, and there were so things she should be responsible for.
But, is it really the right ti for them to have a child?
With both sides of the family so fiercely opposed to their relationship, they weren’t even sure what kind of situation they would face. Adding a child to the mix would certainly make things more chaotic.
The future situation for the child worried her!
Bang, bang, bang!
The knocking on the door interrupted Lily Turner’s thoughts. She turned her head towards the bathroom door and shouted, "I’m sitting on the toilet, you go ahead with your stuff."
She wasn’t ready to face the man outside yet. She needed to calm down inside and think about what she should do.
The person outside didn’t respond at all. Lily Turner tiptoed to the door and pressed her ear against it.
She wanted to hear what was happening outside, but even after listening for a long ti, she heard nothing.
What does this guy an? Did he leave quietly, or is he still standing outside waiting for her?
Lily straightened up and looked at the closed door, then tiptoed back to the mirror.
Not knowing what the situation was outside, she stopped thinking in front of the mirror, turned on the faucet, and bent down to wash her face with cold water.
The cold water made her shiver, but she didn’t stop even though it was so cold.
She continued to splash the cold water on her face until her face beca a bit numb from the cold, and then she turned off the faucet and slowly stood up.
At that mont, Easton Hols’s voice suddenly ca through the door, "Lily Turner! If you don’t co out soon, I’ll co in myself!"
Though his words carried a deep threat, there was a strong sense of worry and urgency in his tone.
Through the door, Lily felt Easton’s anxiety and concern, which made her overlook the threat in his words. She tilted her head and shouted back, "I’ll be right out."
As soon as she said this, she quickly dried the water droplets on her face with a towel and opened the door to leave the bathroom.
"Why is your face so red? Are you having a fever?"
As Easton Hols spoke, he instinctively reached out to touch Lily Turner’s flushed cheek, thinking it was due to a fever. But his palm felt a cold touch, and his eyebrows furrowed suddenly, "Did you just wash your face with cold water?"
Though he asked, he had already confird his suspicion in his heart.
Lily Turner didn’t answer Easton’s question, removed his hand from her cheek, and stepped aside without even glancing at him, "You go ahead and do your business, I’m going upstairs first."
However, as she left, she didn’t forget to instruct him.
Seeing this, Easton Hols didn’t think twice before following her. After a few steps, he caught up with Lily and reached out to hold her hand, "Let’s go upstairs together."
Her hand was cold, and he wrapped her hand in his warm one.
The sudden warmth in his palm made Lily Turner’s heart warm up instantly. She really liked this warm feeling and wanted it to last longer.
"Easton Hols! Can you hold ?"
Lily Turner’s sweet voice ca from beside him, and Easton stopped in his tracks. He instinctively turned to look at her, and her hopeful face imdiately ca into view.
