Lily Turner’s question imdiately painted a faint sadness across Alice Turner’s face. She turned to glance at the seat beside her, where a couple was sitting, whispering sweet nothings to each other, oblivious to everything around them.
She retracted her gaze and looked at herself, sitting all alone.
"The boarding is about to begin, so I’ll stop chatting with you now. Take care of yourself, and we’ll talk when I get back." Alice Turner said all in one breath, not waiting for Lily on the other end of the line to respond, and then hurriedly hung up the phone.
Phew!
After hanging up, Alice exhaled a long breath, but before she could properly relax, two long legs appeared in front of her.
Following the legs upwards with her eyes, when she saw who was standing before her, a hint of disappointnt flashed in her eyes.
"Why do you have that expression upon seeing ? Am I not as handso as the third brother?" The person who had quietly appeared in front of Alice was Thomas Fisher. He was expecting to surprise Alice, but her reaction left him disappointed, ruining his mood as he sat down next to her.
Alice looked over at the man who had sat down next to her, her beautiful face full of puzzlent, "What are you doing here?"
This man shouldn’t be here to send her off for that man, right? That man wouldn’t be so considerate; he never cared about her matters.
"I’m going to J City to et a friend, what about you?"
Thomas Fisher was going to J City to discuss cooperation with a business friend. He didn’t expect to run into Alice Turner at the airport. Earlier, he thought he might have mistaken her for soone else, but upon getting closer, it was indeed her sitting there.
The mont he saw her, he felt inexplicably excited.
It really wasn’t for that man that he had co to see her off. A hint of disappointnt flitted across Alice Turner’s heart as she politely replied, "I’m on a business trip."
With just three simple words, she clarified the purpose of her trip.
"J City?"
Thomas Fisher had just asked before realizing he was almost asking the obvious.
However, Alice Turner still politely nodded, "Mm!"
She rely let out a soft affirmative sound and didn’t say another word after that.
"What a coincidence! Flying alone is so boring, I was just thinking about what to do to pass the ti? Now this is great, the two of us can keep each other company." Thomas Fisher smiled widely, his face filled with an unfeigned happy smile.
Because of Benjamin Shaw, Alice Turner didn’t want to accompany the man sitting beside her, but being well-mannered, she did not outright refuse, nor did she agree enthusiastically. She rely offered a polite smile.
"Three..."
The phone in Alice Turner’s hand suddenly rang, abruptly interrupting Thomas Fisher.
"Excuse , I have to take this call."
The call was from Sophia Wood, undoubtedly regarding Lily Turner’s pregnancy. Alice Turner didn’t want Thomas Fisher to overhear, so she took the phone and walked aside to answer it.
Watching the woman intentionally avoiding him, Thomas Fisher sighed gently, his eyes subconsciously following her figure.
"Attention passengers bound for J City, your *** airline flight *** is now boarding. Please have your boarding pass ready and take your personal belongings..."
The boarding announcent suddenly blared.
At this mont, Alice Turner was still on the phone, seemingly not hearing it, standing still without any sign of moving to board.
Seeing this situation, Thomas Fisher stood up and walked towards her.
