Every ti Thomas Fisher flew, he always sat in first class. It was his first ti sitting in economy class, and he felt all kinds of discomfort.
But in front of Alice Turner, there was no way he could admit it. Hearing what Alice said, he shook his head repeatedly, "I think it’s quite nice here, quite lively with so many people. I enjoy lively places the most."
Appearance reflects the heart; his words said he liked it, but his eyes showed disdain.
"I travel frequently for business; I can completely take care of myself. You should switch back."
Although Alice Turner didn’t see the disdain in Thomas Fisher’s eyes, she could sense it. He didn’t like it here, nor was he accustod to it.
She felt awkward even when with her husband, let alone with her husband’s friend. On the surface, she appeared calm, but inside she felt quite awkward.
Just as Thomas Fisher was about to shake his head and say no, he suddenly seed to think of sothing. He turned his body to look at Alice Turner beside him, "Wait here a mont, I’ll be right back."
With that, he stood up with a swish and left his seat, striding toward the front of the cabin.
Watching his tall figure walk further away, Alice Turner looked puzzled. Seeing him leave made her breathe a sigh of relief, but rembering what he said before leaving, she sighed deeply again.
A few minutes later, Thomas Fisher returned, but he didn’t sit back down; instead, he stood next to his seat.
"Sister-in-law! Co with ."
Instinctively, Thomas Fisher reached out to pull the seated Alice Turner, but halfway through, he withdrew his hand. Looking down at her, his eyes were full of expectation.
"Where to?"
Alice Turner was sowhat confused. Although she didn’t know where Thomas was taking her, she still got up to follow him toward the front of the cabin.
"You’ll know once we get there."
Thomas Fisher glanced back at Alice Turner, seeing how obediently she followed him, he was relieved.
As they walked out of economy class toward the first-class section on the upper deck, Alice Turner suddenly figured out what was going on. She stopped, "You go yourself. I’d better return to my seat."
After speaking, she turned to head back to economy class.
"Don’t."
Hearing Alice Turner say she wanted to return to economy class, Thomas Fisher swiftly turned around. In that instant, he grabbed her as she tried to go back, "It’s so uncomfortable sitting there. You should co to first class with . Otherwise, Benjamin would feel bad for you if he found out."
In his urgency, he brought up Benjamin Shaw.
Would that man feel bad for her? That was the most ridiculous joke she had ever heard.
Alice Turner only focused on that comnt from Thomas Fisher, entirely missing the fact that he was holding her wrist. She pulled her hand back without even realizing it.
"I’m already used to sitting in economy class; having more people around is nice." It’s not that she couldn’t afford first class; she just didn’t want to flaunt it.
"From now on, you’ll have to get used to first class."
Thomas Fisher didn’t know Alice Turner’s true thoughts. Hearing her say that, he thought she was reluctant to spend the money, "I’ll cover today’s price difference, and get it back from Benjamin when we return."
It was just a joke. This little money wasn’t worth him pestering his good brother for. That would hurt their relationship, not to ntion he couldn’t afford to lose face like that.
Alice Turner, however, took it seriously and blurted out, "Don’t ask him for money; it’s not like I have none."
Why would she use his money when she wasn’t a freeloader dependent on him?
