"Right!"
Easton Hols nodded, stood up, and walked toward Lily Turner, who was standing at the doorway. Seeing him approach, her first reaction was to turn and run, sprinting towards the door at the fastest speed. He followed leisurely, leaning against the door fra as he watched her run to the door. "Is this your idea of sincerity?"
He deliberately raised the tone of his words, as if questioning her, or perhaps expressing his dissatisfaction and displeasure with her.
By this ti, Lily Turner had already reached the doorstep. Hearing Easton's sowhat peculiar questioning, she suddenly stopped in her tracks and slowly turned around to look at him standing at the doorway. "Mr. Hols! Please give a straight answer now. Do you agree or disagree with what I just said? If you disagree, I'll leave right away. I think you don't have the ti to waste on this with ."
She could see it clearly; this man never intended to discuss matters with her; he ca here purely to mock her.
"Miss Turner! You're mistaken again. I'm very free tonight and have plenty of ti to waste with you here." Easton spoke the truth. He did have a lot of free ti tonight and was looking for sothing to do to pass the ti. He did not expect her sudden call in the afternoon, and on a whim, he agreed to et her.
She knew he was here to make fun of her!
Lily Turner glared at Easton Hols angrily, saying nothing as she turned and walked towards the door. Due to the resentnt she held against the man behind her, her footsteps were heavy, and the sound of her high heels clinking on the floor echoed loudly.
The clinking sound was especially loud in the quiet room, so loud that it was sowhat piercing.
Easton Hols furrowed his brows instantly and slightly parted his lips, "Miss Turner! Mind your manners! A goddess's manners!"
He knew she was doing it on purpose, but his remark was also intentional. Just now, he suddenly realized that teasing her into anger was quite amusing.
"With soone like you, manners aren't necessary at all," Lily Turner retorted without turning around. By this ti, she had already reached the doorstep and without pausing, reached out to open the door. She didn't want to stay here for another minute.
But after trying for a long ti, she still couldn't open the door. Her first thought was that he must have done sothing, but she had been the last to close the door when entering. What's going on?
"Your door lock is broken, please fix it."
Although she suspected Easton had tampered with the lock, without any evidence, Lily Turner didn't dare to rashly say anything. At this point, she had given up any hope of discussing the house selling matter; she just wanted to leave here peacefully.
Easton Hols didn't show any intention to move; he remained leaning against the door fra, watching Lily Turner fiddling with the lock in a leisurely manner. "This hasn't been my house for a few days now. It's not impossible for to fix the lock for your house, but you'll have to beg ."
"Easton! You..."
After hearing what Easton Hols had just said, Lily Turner beca even more convinced that he was behind the lock not opening. Angry, she turned and looked at him with dissatisfaction. Seeing his carefree deanor, her anger intensified, and she clicked her high heels approach him to settle the score.
