Although Lily Turner had guessed the situation in her heart, she was still genuinely surprised when Easton Hols said that. Thinking that he wasn't the big boss of Dark Empire, her impression of him had changed sowhat.
Her complexion looked much better than it did before when facing him.
"My foot injury isn't really that serious anymore, there's no need to trouble a doctor to co over specifically." She tilted her head to look at him as he supported her toward the living room, "You should call your friend and tell them not to co over."
She wasn't sure if the woman who answered the phone earlier was his friend, but it really felt inappropriate to trouble her so late at night. After all, she didn't even know them, and she'd only t him twice. Strictly speaking, they were just strangers who had a brief romantic encounter.
"Don't worry, she won't spread any rumors."
Unaware of Lily Turner's true thoughts, Easton Hols assud that she was afraid soone would gossip after seeing her. He thought that she was worrying too much about it.
Because the person he called over was a military doctor from their unit, and those people weren't like entertainnt reporters who followed celebrities around all day gossiping.
Seeing that Easton Hols misunderstood her, Lily Turner quickly defended herself: "That's not what I ant. What I ant is that my foot injury isn't serious. There's no need to trouble a doctor to co over; I can just use so ice on it myself."
When Lily Turner first started her modeling career, spraining an ankle was a frequent occurrence. At first, she would go to the hospital to see a doctor, but over ti she learned how to treat it herself. Now she could completely take care of it on her own.
When she sat on the ground crying earlier, it wasn't because her ankle was seriously injured but because she felt miserable and unlucky, and couldn't hold back her tears. She hadn't expected him to misunderstand.
"You sit down first, she'll be here shortly."
After hearing Lily Turner's explanation, Easton Hols finally understood what she ant. Without saying more, he helped her to sit on the sofa.
Since she'd already said that, saying anything more would seem excessive. Lily Turner didn't persuade Easton Hols to tell his friend not to co and quietly sat on the sofa, waiting for his doctor friend to arrive.
Neither of them spoke again, and the room suddenly beca quiet, and the atmosphere turned awkward.
Easton Hols bent down, picked up the remote control on the coffee table, turned on the TV, and went to sit slightly further away from Lily Turner.
"Mr. Thompson, may I boldly ask you a question? Why did you withdraw funding from the film 'Love on the Road'? Is it really because, as everyone speculates, you did it due to Lily Turner's recent runaway bride incident?"
The TV was showing a highly-watched entertainnt show. Dressed in a suit, Henry Thompson sat on the sofa in the studio, while the host next to him asked a sharp and highly discussed question.
This was the first ti Lily Turner had seen Henry Thompson since that day. She unblinkingly stared at him on the TV screen, and he seed even more dashing than before—was it because of that woman's influence?
Despite doing such shaless things, he dared to appear on TV. She wanted to see how he would have the nerve to face the audience with this question.
