When Easton Hols arrived at the hospital, Lily Turner was in the examination room in the obstetrics and gynecology departnt for a check-up, and Alice Turner was waiting at the door. Seeing him rushing over, she beca very tense.
"How is it going?"
Easton glanced at Alice, took a big step towards the examination room door, and was about to push it open, but stopped imdiately the mont his hand touched the doorknob.
Seeing him stop abruptly at the door, Alice swallowed back the words she was about to say.
"The doctor said there are signs of premature labor, but we’ll have to wait for the doctor’s examination to know the specifics."
Alice tried not to look at Easton while speaking, her eyes deliberately or unintentionally fixed on the examination room door, but her peripheral vision constantly checked his expressions and emotions.
After hearing what Alice said, Easton’s handso brows furrowed sharply, "Wasn’t everything fine when we left just now? How did it suddenly beco a premature labor sign?"
She was fine when they parted ways earlier, so how could there be signs of premature labor shortly after they separated? What exactly happened during this short ti apart to cause this?
Squeak!
At this mont, the examination room door suddenly opened from the inside.
"Oh my gosh!"
Easton was standing close to the door, and the person opening it from the inside didn’t expect soone to be standing right there, and exclaid in surprise.
"Sorry!"
Seeing that he had startled the nurse coming out, Easton quickly apologized, though he wasn’t very sincere about it.
He didn’t even glance at the person he startled, his eyes were already on Lily Turner in the examination room.
Avoiding the nurse he frightened, Easton walked over to Lily Turner inside, and as he approached, she looked up at him in surprise, "Why are you here?"
Her face didn’t look good due to the stomach pain.
"How are you feeling now? Does your stomach still hurt?" Easton reached out to support her, looking down at her belly, his usually stern face now covered with worry.
Before getting her response, the doctor provided an answer: "She shows signs of a threatened miscarriage. I’ve given her a progesterone injection, but she needs to be hospitalized for observation for a few days."
"Who will handle the hospitalization procedures?"
The doctor looked at Easton, then at Alice who was standing not far away, and asked.
As soon as the doctor finished speaking, Alice hurriedly responded, "I’ll do it!"
"Follow ."
The nurse who had been startled lead Alice out of the examination room to go downstairs and handle the hospitalization procedures.
Shortly after the two left, Lily suddenly thought of sothing and turned to the doctor, "Doctor! Is it possible for not to be hospitalized?"
Whether it was because she had cald down after a while, or due to the progesterone injection, her stomach pain had eased sowhat.
"I recomnd that you stay in the hospital for observation. It’s better for you and the baby," the doctor’s words left Lily without any more thoughts, and she obediently accepted the need for hospitalization and observation.
As soon as Lily spoke up earlier, Easton knew exactly what she was worried about. While carrying her to the ward, he told her, "Don’t worry about being hospitalized, I promise I won’t let those paparazzi bother you."
He found those paparazzi as annoying as she did.
Given her current condition, she needs peaceful rest, and he wouldn’t let irrelevant people disturb her.
