If it were possible, I’d really want to have you by my side twenty-four hours a day.
Easton Hols’s words just deeply moved Lily Turner. She lifted her head from his embrace, blinking her beautiful big eyes as she looked at him.
She just quietly looked at him without saying a word.
"Why are you looking at like that? Did you lose your mory?"
There was nothing wrong with her looking, but saying nothing was a problem.
Easton Hols waved a hand in front of Lily Turner to force her to stop staring silently; he couldn’t handle her silent gaze.
Lily Turner slapped away the hand waving in front of her, glanced at its owner, and then tilted her head back against the man’s chest, "I wish that were the case."
How nice it would be to lose her mory, then she could forget those troubles and the people who trouble her, and her life could start over.
"What’s so good about that?"
Easton Hols pinched her chin, lifting her head so she would look at him, "Don’t let your mind wander like that anymore, okay?"
He shook her chin lightly with his hand, his touch was gentle, but she exaggeratedly grimaced.
"You’re so annoying, that hurts!"
Lily Turner’s tone was as coquettish as could be, her lips slightly pouted, a spoiled look on her face, though she didn’t realize it herself.
It was the first ti Easton Hols had seen Lily Turner act spoiled, and his heart suddenly softened. He lowered his head to kiss her pouting pink lips, "Let rub it for you."
Knowing full well she was pretending to call it painful, he still rubbed her chin.
Squeak!
Hearing the door open, Lily Turner thought Alice Turner had returned with things she’d bought, and she pushed the man rubbing her chin aside, turning to look toward the hospital room door.
The door was half-open, but no one ca in.
"What’s going on?"
Seeing no one ca in after a while, Lily Turner was quite puzzled and tilted her head to look at the man sitting beside her.
"I’ll go check it out."
Easton Hols got up and walked toward the door. As he neared the door, he heard footsteps running away and instinctively quickened his pace to chase after them.
He chased out the door but saw nothing; the corridor was empty, not a single silhouette in sight.
Easton Hols looked left and right, and seeing nothing suspicious, he turned back to the hospital room, closed the door, and walked over to Lily Turner on the bed.
"Who was it?"
Seeing Easton Hols return not long after leaving, Lily Turner’s doubts grew stronger.
He bent down to sit beside her while explaining, "Maybe your sister didn’t close the door properly when she left, and the wind blew it open."
If he guessed correctly, the person who pushed the door just now must have been a hospital staff mber. Only the staff are familiar with this area.
He had chased out imdiately after hearing the running sound, but he was still a step late. By the ti he got out, that person had already hidden.
As for why they suddenly appeared here, it must have sothing to do with her staying here.
That person must be one of her fans, otherwise they wouldn’t have sneaked over to push the door.
If it weren’t for that, he surely wouldn’t have returned so easily.
"My sister didn’t close the door properly?"
Lily Turner was skeptical; she clearly saw her sister close the door, or did she mistake what she saw?
Easton Hols nodded with certainty, "Your sister only gently shut it, she didn’t actually close the door."
She needs peace and quiet right now for recovery, and those fans and paparazzi, he’ll handle them for her.
