After calling many tis with the sa result, Thomas Fisher did not continue dialing Alice Turner’s phone. Instead, he shifted his focus and called Benjamin Shaw.
However, the phone rang for a long ti without anyone answering, and it automatically disconnected without Benjamin Shaw’s voice being heard.
He didn’t give up and dialed Benjamin Shaw’s number again. But this ti, just like the first, it rang until it disconnected automatically, without Benjamin Shaw answering.
The thought that Benjamin Shaw was unconcerned about Alice Turner’s safety because he was with Sophie Snow infuriated Thomas Fisher. He tossed the phone onto the passenger seat, started the engine, and drove swiftly onto the road.
His current target was clear: the newlywed apartnt of Alice Turner and Benjamin Shaw.
What would normally take an hour’s drive, Thomas Fisher reached the destination in just over half an hour.
Seeing Alice Turner’s car parked undamaged beneath the apartnt building, the weight in his heart began to ease.
To ensure Alice Turner was safe, Thomas Fisher parked his car and went upstairs. Upon reaching the door, he didn’t hesitate for a mont and started knocking.
After knocking a few tis, he waited for soone inside to answer, but after waiting for a long ti, the door remained tightly shut, with no movent whatsoever.
Thinking that Alice Turner inside hadn’t heard, Thomas Fisher knocked again, this ti with more force. Yet, after waiting a long while, the door still remained tightly closed with not a single sound.
He could no longer stay calm and knocked again, this ti not only with his hand but also leaning against the door as he called out.
"Alice! Are you in there? It’s Thomas. If you hear , could you please respond?" After calling, Thomas Fisher tilted his head and pressed his ear against the door, listening intently for any movent inside, but heard nothing for a long ti.
No one answered the door, and no one responded to his calls either.
Rembering Alice Turner had been drinking alone at ho, Thomas Fisher’s mind was suddenly filled with a series of worrying images. As they flashed through his mind, his heart climbed into his throat.
He was very anxious but had no way of opening the door at the mont.
In his anxiety, Thomas Fisher paced back and forth at the door. During his third lap, he suddenly rembered Easton Hols’s skill of opening doors without a key.
Without wasting a mont, he quickly picked up the phone and called Easton Hols to ask for his help in opening the door.
When Thomas Fisher called, Easton Hols was in the bathroom dealing with an urgent matter, while his phone was on the nightstand beside the bed.
Hearing the phone ring, Lily Turner instinctively picked it up. Seeing it was Thomas Fisher calling, she shouted towards the bathroom, "Mr. Hols! Hurry and co out to answer the phone; your youngest brother is calling you."
Concerned that the gentleman in the bathroom might not hear her, she deliberately raised her voice as she called out.
"Mrs. Hols! Please answer it for first."
Upon hearing Lily Turner call for him to answer the phone, Easton Hols’s heart skipped a beat. When she said it was Thomas Fisher calling, he breathed a sigh of relief.
With Easton Hols’s permission, Lily Turner answered the call, but before she could speak, Thomas Fisher on the other end urgently spoke, "Big brother! Sothing happened to Alice! Hurry and co help open the door."
