Next month on the 8th?!
Lily Turner marveled in her heart, when did this guy decide on the date? How co she didn’t know anything about it? Today is already the 16th, leaving only about twenty days until the 8th of next month.
He set the wedding date without telling her. If it weren’t for her accidentally finding out by coming here today, how long was he planning to keep it from her? Until the day before the wedding? Or the wedding day itself?
Upon learning that the wedding would take place on the 8th of next month, Christopher Turner was over the moon. In just a little over twenty days, everyone will know he is Easton Hols’s father-in-law, which is sothing he never dared to dream of before.
Compared to Lily Turner’s surprise and Christopher Turner’s secret joy, Michael Linton appeared much calr. Although he didn’t know the wedding date beforehand, he trusted his nephew Easton Hols; his nephew is not soone who makes rash decisions.
Sophia Wood glanced at Easton Hols, and then shifted her gaze to Lily Turner, holding it there steadily, "The wedding will be on the 8th of next month. Lily should stay at ho these days; we haven’t had a good chat in a long ti."
Her expression was calm, but her heart was in turmoil.
"Sure, I also want to get to know more about her previous living environnt." While Lily Turner was still hesitating whether to agree to Sophia Wood, Easton Hols, sitting beside her, had already agreed on her behalf, or rather, on behalf of both of them.
He’s going to stay here too?!
As soon as Easton Hols finished speaking, a flash of surprise crossed Sophia Wood’s eyes, followed by a fleeting dissatisfaction so quick that it disappeared before anyone noticed.
"Isn’t your military unit busy?"
She spoke while shifting her gaze to Easton Hols.
Easton Hols was focused on Lily Turner, completely unaware of Sophia’s reaction. When he heard Sophia speak, he turned his attention to her, "Not too busy."
Though he didn’t see the brief flash of dissatisfaction in her eyes, he sensed a hint of discontent from her words. She wasn’t pleased with him staying here together with his wife.
He pretended not to notice, responding to her with composure and ease.
"It’s great that you both can stay, the house will be lively now." Christopher Turner at this mont wasn’t mindful of much else, nor did he consider how Sophia Wood truly felt; he was simply delighted that Easton Hols and Lily Turner would be staying.
Earlier, he also wanted them to stay, but he feared being too abrupt, so those words remained bottled up inside him.
Upon hearing Christopher Turner make the decision once again without consulting her, a surge of dissatisfaction arose in Sophia Wood’s heart. Nevertheless, she didn’t express it this ti and made no remarks about the situation.
Lily Turner never expressed her opinion on this matter from start to finish, allowing Easton Hols to make decisions for her; she would just follow through.
Both mother and daughter seed to have a tacit understanding regarding this matter, neither of them spoke again.
Seeing that things were moving in a positive direction, Michael Linton felt very gratified; his trip today was not in vain, "Since you two will be staying, I’ll head back first."
With that said, he stood up, yet after standing, he didn’t imdiately walk out but looked towards Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood, "Thank you for your hospitality today. I’m leaving."
Seeing Michael Linton stand, the other four people present also stood up simultaneously, all with the sa intention, to see him off.
