Just now, Sophia didn’t follow them into the living room, nor did she return to her room, but went to find Aunt Hua and instructed her to go out and buy abortion pills.

Worried that Lily Turner might confront Sophia Wood, Alice didn’t explicitly ntion the buying of the pills, but her sister still picked up on sothing. Faced with her sister’s questions, she chose to evade them.
"Don’t ask anymore, just listen to ," she said. So things, if spoken, could hurt deeply, so it was best to hold them back.

Lily calmly said before hanging up the phone.

It was only when she heard the beep in her ear that Alice realized Lily had hung up, and her heart tightened.
Without hesitating any further, she imdiately tried to call back.
However, when she dialed back, Lily directly rejected her call.
This increased her worry, and she dialed again, only to face the sa rejection as before.
"Sis! Don’t worry about , just focus on your matters. I won’t do what you’re afraid of,"
As Alice prepared to redial once more, Lily sent her a text ssage. Reading the text, Alice was still uneasy.
Knowing Lily wouldn’t pick up, she stopped trying to call again. Though her sister claid she wouldn’t do what Alice feared, the worry lingered in her heart.
Putting away her phone, Alice returned to the living room, but she didn’t sit down. Standing by the doorway, she spoke to Isla Lane sitting on the sofa from afar, "Mom! I have an urgent matter to attend to. I’ll co see you another day."
Without waiting for a response, she anxiously turned and left the living room.
"Is it urgent? Let Benjamin take you there."
Alice had only taken a few steps when Isla’s voice echoed from inside the living room. Ignoring it, Alice hurriedly made her way back to the Turner family ho.
Her pace didn’t falter for a mont; instead, it unknowingly quickened.
