Easton Hols and Luke Crowe walked in one after the other, with Luke, who ca in last, holding a bouquet of flowers. Watching Luke place the flowers on the cabinet next to the hospital bed, Lily Turner slowly recovered from her shock.
"Why are you two here?"
Strictly speaking, these two were practically strangers to her. She didn't believe they were her fans, as these two were military n, and one of them was even a leader. In her perception, leaders were the type of people who were very serious and wouldn't pay attention to celebrities like them.
"We ca to see you."
Easton glanced at Lily and then naturally walked over to the sofa in the hospital room. He didn't wait for the owner of the room to offer him a seat; he simply walked over and sat down on the sofa.
Luke didn't make any noise, but just smiled and nodded at Lily, knowing his place. He quietly headed to leave, but just as he reached the door, he suddenly heard Lily call him, "Mr. Crowe! Wait a minute!"
Hearing Lily call him, Luke instinctively stopped, turned around, and looked over at Lily, "Miss Turner! Do you need sothing?"
"I, I..." Lily was about to approach Luke to ask about the investnt, when she suddenly realized there were two other people in the room, both of whom she couldn't ignore. She hesitated for a mont and then smiled, "Thank you for coming to see ."
"No problem."
Luke instinctively glanced at Easton Hols sitting on the sofa and astutely noticed that his leader's expression seed to take a turn for the worse, so he imdiately turned and left the hospital room.
Upon seeing Easton Hols for the first ti, Alice Turner imdiately noticed this man was extraordinary. Whether it was from his overall deanor, appearance, or physique, she felt this man surpassed Henry Thompson, and even her husband, whom she had just recently married.
"Lily! Who is this man? A new friend you t?" Alice tugged on Lily's clothes and asked in a low voice.
"Sort of."
Lily nodded, though she felt extrely awkward inside.
Alice sensed the awkwardness in Lily's words and wanted to ask more questions. However, seeing Easton sitting on the sofa, she thought it wasn't the right ti to ask. She figured she would have plenty of ti to get to the bottom of this later.
Lily knew her sister had many questions but had no intention of answering them. Not now, nor in the future, because the way she t Easton was too embarrassing to talk about.
"Sis! Can you get my friend a glass of water?"
After sending Alice to get water, Lily walked over to Easton on the sofa. She had to issue a subtle request for him to leave before Alice ca back with the water. Ti and circumstance were pressing, and she couldn't afford to think about anything else.
His appearance was sudden and badly tid, and she wasn't clear about his true purpose for coming here. If he ca today specifically to discuss cashing out her property, how would she explain that to her sister?
"Mr. Hols! I'm very grateful you ca to see , but I'm sure you must be busy, so you should..."
Just as Lily stood in front of Easton, she imdiately started speaking, but before she could finish, Easton interrupted, clearly understanding her intent, "Are you trying to send away?"
