Alice Turner pulled over the car, took her phone out of her pocket, and held it up to her eyes. Seeing that it was a text from Easton Hols’ number, she imdiately thought it was from Lily Turner.
Without any hesitation, she imdiately opened the text ssage she had just received.
"Sis! I’m already ho, nothing happened like what you were worried about, so just go about your own things without worry."
Just as Alice suspected, the text was indeed from Lily. Seeing Lily’s ssage, she realized that Lily had already gone ho, which explained why she hadn’t seen her at the house earlier.
Ho now! Don’t worry!
If she didn’t know about Sophia Wood having Aunt Hua buy the dicine, Alice might not have been concerned, but that was only if.
Not only did she know about Aunt Hua buying the dicine, but she also knew that Lily had discovered this.
If she hadn’t guessed wrong, her sister and her mom had a heated argunt over this matter, otherwise, her dad and mom wouldn’t have been arguing so intensely just now.
After much deliberation, Alice ultimately decided to call Lily back; otherwise, she couldn’t put her mind at ease.
"Sis!"
The call was answered shortly after it was dialed, and hearing Lily’s voice, Alice thought she sounded fairly normal.
"Are you okay?"
Alice, straightforward and concerned, voiced her worries directly.
When Lily sent the text to Alice, she was on her way back to the Military District Compound. She was worried that Alice would be concerned about her, so she had sent the text, but her sister was still very worried about her.
After what had just happened, how could Lily be okay? Her heart was aching unbearably, yet to avoid worrying her sister on the other end and the man driving, she forced herself to appear strong and optimistic.
"I’m fine now."
To ensure that her sister on the phone didn’t detect anything, she controlled her emotions as much as possible, striving to maintain her composure.
Unable to see the person on the other end of the call and unable to discern anything from the voice, Alice felt even more uncertain.
"It’s good if you’re alright. If anything happens, don’t hide it from your sister. Your sister will always be your closest family." With their mom giving her daughter that kind of dicine, anyone would feel hurt and upset; Alice didn’t believe Lily could remain indifferent.
Even though the relationship between their mother and daughter was usually not good, such an event was too shocking and heartbreaking.
Forced by her own mother to take an abortion pill, Lily was extrely saddened but hadn’t cried; however, hearing Alice speak those words moved her to tears instantly.
"I know, Sis! I’ll hang up now."
Lily couldn’t hold it any longer, and after hastily speaking, she imdiately hung up the phone, regardless of whether Alice had more to say.
After hanging up the phone, she turned to face the car door and began to cry against the window.
Moved, sad, wronged...
All the emotions surged in at this mont.
After leaving the Turner Family house, Easton Hols had already noticed sothing was off with Lily’s emotions. Now, after she finished the call with Alice, she sat silently by the car window for a long ti without a word, and he imdiately sensed sothing was wrong.
Turning the steering wheel to the right, he slowly pulled over to the roadside.
Once the car was settled, Easton turned to sit towards Lily’s side, leaned in to pull her, who had her back to him, over, and her tear-streaked face instantly appeared before his eyes.
