Deep down, she hoped her daughter wouldn’t live her life consud by hatred like she had. All these years, her heart was filled with hatred, causing her to lose her conscience and motherly instincts.

Sophia’s next words denied her assumption. Her mother didn’t know Evelyn Taylor at all, "I’ve never even seen her, how could I know her?"
