Having restored the mother-daughter bond with Lily Turner, Sophia Wood suddenly felt relieved. From this mont on, she decided to let go of her resentnts and live her future days happily.
Lily Turner originally wanted to say sothing more about it, but seeing Sophia Wood’s face full of relief, she swallowed her words back down with an effort.
"Lily! Tell , when exactly did you and Easton Hols et?" Seeing Lily Turner not speaking for a long while, Sophia Wood seized the opportunity and tily changed the topic.
Bringing up the past again, Lily Turner’s heart skipped a bit. She turned to look at Sophia Wood beside her, full of suspicion, "Why are you asking about this?"
What exactly was her mom trying to do? Was she going to pressure her into divorcing him again?
"Don’t be nervous, I just want to know more about you and Easton. I don’t an to do anything." The wariness on Lily Turner’s face was obvious, and Sophia Wood saw it at a glance, understanding why Lily was wary. Clearly, she had failed too much as a mother before.
Upon hearing this, Lily Turner felt a bit embarrassed, quickly putting away her defensive attitude, replacing it with a sowhat insincere smile, "I’m not nervous, I just didn’t know why you asked that."
To conceal her anxiety, she diverted her gaze elsewhere, trying not to et her mother’s eyes.
"Now that you know, can you tell ? When did you two et?" Sophia Wood knew Lily Turner wasn’t being truthful with her, but she didn’t expose Lily’s lie because the lie was largely related to her own actions.
If she hadn’t gone too far before, her daughter wouldn’t have this wariness towards her. Facing this situation now, she silently bore it.
Lily Turner withdrew her wandering gaze, tilted her head slightly to look at Sophia Wood sitting close to her, paused for a mont, then said, "Mom! Rest assured, no matter when I t Easton, I definitely wasn’t two-timing."
If she wasn’t mistaken, her mom was definitely worried about that, concerned that she hadn’t broken things off with Henry Thompson before getting together with Easton Hols.
The true situation back then was too embarrassing to say out loud. She intended to keep what happened that night buried inside forever; she couldn’t tell anyone about it, it was too humiliating.
"Look at how sharp Easton is. Sothing like that couldn’t be kept from him." Not wanting her mom to continue the questioning, she quickly added.
"My daughter isn’t foolish either."
Although Sophia Wood had only t Easton Hols two or three tis, she could see that he was indeed just as Lily Turner described, very sharp.
He was sharp, but her daughter didn’t seem foolish either. As long as the two of them were doing well, sharp or not didn’t matter.
Lily Turner smiled silently, really wondering where her mom got such confidence. If she wasn’t foolish, she wouldn’t have been deceived by her forr fiancé and forr best friend without realizing it.

"Foolish or not, I am who I am; am I supposed to be remade anew?" Having just nded the relationship with her mom, Lily Turner felt very happy and excited, her face always carrying an unconcealable smile.
Sophia Wood let go of the hand held by Lily Turner, raised it, and gently touched her head, speaking softly, "Foolish or not, you are still my daughter."
