Lily Turner didn't need Easton Hols to answer; she already knew the answer. She guessed it perfectly: today's al was preditated by him. Had she known he was waiting for her here, she would've claid she couldn't cook.
"Let go of ." She had to see what groceries this guy bought, pick out the simplest and easiest ones to cook for him, finish quickly, and leave.
"I can let go of you, but you can't run away," Easton Hols didn't imdiately release Lily Turner's hand but started negotiating with her.
Lily Turner rolled her eyes dramatically at a certain man, "Mr. Hols! Do you think I can run away from you?"
She wasn't boosting others' morale while dampening her own; she was just self-aware.
Though she had only interacted with this man a few tis, she clearly recognized that she was no match for him—neither in strength nor intelligence.
Easton Hols tilted his head and looked at the petite woman beside him, nodding his head in agreent and honesty, "No, you can't!"
"Since you know I can't run away, hurry up and let go." Lily Turner looked down at the big hand holding hers. If eyes could pry the hand open, she couldn't count how many tis she would've done it.
From Lily Turner's words, Easton Hols sensed her dissatisfaction and resentnt towards him. Smiling slightly, he looked down at her bowed head, "I will naturally let go when it's ti."
With these words, Lily Turner let out a defiant huff, "Hmph! If others find out you're bullying a weak woman like this, they'll laugh their heads off."
"What do others laughing have to do with ?" Easton Hols said dismissively, still holding Lily Turner's hand as he headed to the kitchen. Once inside, he released her hand, "I placed all the groceries there, choose whatever you want."
Following Easton Hols' line of sight, Lily Turner saw the groceries on the Glass Pavilion table—vegetables, at, rice, and even fruits. He was certainly well-prepared.
"Just to let you know in advance, I can only cook so simple vegetarian dishes. I can't make any at dishes." As a model, Lily Turner rarely ate at to maintain her figure. Over the years, her diet was extrely simple, consisting mainly of vegetables and fruits, so she could only cook vegetarian dishes.
Easton Hols was oblivious to these circumstances and didn't consider this aspect. Hearing Lily Turner say this, he thought she was making excuses not to cook for him, which displeased him slightly, though he didn't show it on the surface.
"As I said earlier, just cook whatever you can. I'm not picky." As soone with a background in special forces, Easton Hols wasn't particular about food at all; even boiled leafy greens in plain water were fine for him.
"That works!" Lily Turner didn't care whether Easton Hols was being truthful or not. She waved her hand to signal him to leave, "You can head out now. I'll call you when it's ready."
"Alright!"
Easton Hols didn't stay in the kitchen and was accommodating, leaving the kitchen as Lily Turner wished. To avoid interfering with her cooking, he went to the living room to watch TV.
