Seeing that the visitor was Ryan Taylor, Callix Linton, who was sitting in the living room waiting for news, was quite surprised and had so concerns in his heart.
"Isn’t today the anniversary of your uncle’s death? Didn’t you go with your dad to pay respects?" Earlier, he received news over the phone that the whole family went to the cetery, so how did this kid end up at his house? Did he hear it wrong just now?
"I just ca back from the cetery. Where are Easton and the others?" From the mont he entered, Ryan Taylor hadn’t seen Easton Hols and Lily Turner. He looked around again, still not seeing either of them.
"Easton and Lily went back to her family’s ho. Do you have sothing to discuss with them?" Since those two kids didn’t want him to know about this, he decided not to let anything slip. Callix Linton clearly knew Easton Hols and Lily Turner had lied, but he didn’t plan to expose them, so they wouldn’t feel pressured.
"They went back to her family’s ho?"
Ryan Taylor didn’t know what Callix Linton was thinking. He just assud Easton Hols and Lily Turner had left the cetery earlier and returned with Sophia Wood. He didn’t think much about it beyond that.
While Ryan Taylor and Callix Linton were talking, Aiden Taylor called Callix Linton. Seeing it was Aiden calling, he imdiately picked up the phone, "Hello!"
"Uncle! Did you call ? What do you need?" Aiden Taylor only discovered several missed calls from Callix Linton when he returned to the Military Departnt and checked his phone, realizing it had been on silent.
He was quite puzzled since he hadn’t set it that way. What on earth was going on?
However, he didn’t dwell too much on this matter and promptly returned the call to Callix Linton.
Callix Linton glanced at Ryan Taylor, who was sitting not far away, then spoke to the person on the other end of the line, "I called earlier just to ask when you guys were planning to visit the cetery. Ryan is here with now and ntioned you just returned from there."
Indeed, he had called earlier to inquire about their cetery visit timing, hoping they would avoid overlapping with Easton Hols and Lily Turner.
But now, it seems unnecessary, as everyone who was supposed to go had already gone, and perhaps everything that wasn’t supposed to happen has also happened.
"I see."
Aiden Taylor didn’t think much about it, assuming Callix Linton purely wanted to ask about this, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up first."
He had wanted to ask about Lily Turner’s current situation, but recalling the events of a few days ago, he quickly dismissed that thought.
"Alright!"
Callix Linton initially intended to ask Aiden Taylor if he had seen Easton Hols and Lily Turner at the cetery but, seeing Ryan Taylor sitting beside him, decided not to ask further and directly hung up the call.
With Easton Hols not at ho and Ryan Taylor unsure of what to say to Callix Linton, after a brief and casual chat, he got up to leave.
After getting into the car, Ryan Taylor took out his phone and dialed Easton Hols’s number, but even after a long while, no one answered.
Just as he was about to hang up, thinking the person wouldn’t pick up, soone suddenly answered. Without giving the other person a chance to speak, he imdiately began expressing his dissatisfaction, "I say, buddy! You’re too inconsiderate, ditching our group for your wife. At this rate, you’re going to be kicked out of the crew."
He rattled on without giving the person on the other end a chance to interject.
