"Have you finished eating?"
Seeing Easton Hols walk in, Lily Turner quickly stood up from the sofa and was about to leave the living room to wash the dishes in the kitchen. As she passed by him, he grabbed her, leaving her puzzled, "Why are you pulling ? I'm going to wash the dishes."
"I've already washed the dishes." Easton pulled Lily back to the sofa and sat down beside her. Once seated, he blurted out without context, "You absolutely don't need to lose weight."
Due to the awkward situation earlier, he didn't dare sit too close to her.
"Hmm? Oh! I'm not skipping als to lose weight; I'm genuinely not hungry." Initially, Lily didn't understand what Easton was getting at, but soon she caught on from the way he looked at her.
She usually controlled her diet to maintain her current figure, but that didn't an she didn't eat at all. She wasn't so celestial being untouched by earthly needs.
The reason she didn't eat with him just now was that she was saving her appetite to dine with her sister later. Because of eating less for so long, her appetite had shrunk, and she felt full quickly.
Easton didn't buy Lily's explanation at all. Just as he was about to refute her, he saw her stand up again and abruptly changed his words, "What are you going to do now?"
He had just told her that he'd done the dishes, so what was she planning to do now?
"You've had your al, and my mission for coming here today is complete. It's ti for to leave," Lily said and began to walk out of the living room before Easton could respond. But just two steps out, she heard him say behind her, "This is your ho now. Is it right for you to leave your guest here alone? Is this how you treat your guests?"
Hearing Easton's question, Lily stopped in her tracks, slowly turned around, and retorted with a frown, "You didn't wait for , the supposed owner, to co back before you entered."
What exactly was this man trying to do? Coming in and out as he pleased, and now claiming she was the owner while he was the guest.
Faced with Lily's question, Easton was suddenly at a loss for words, unsure how to respond. Yet, he didn't feel the least bit awkward or embarrassed, looking at her standing not far away with composure.
Compared to Easton's calmness, Lily seed a bit impatient. Staring at him, she continued, "I don't an to bla you. I already planned to return this apartnt to you, so you're still the owner. You're free to co and go."
Taking sothing that didn't belong to her made her uneasy. These past few days, she'd been trying every way possible to return the place to him.
"Do I need to reiterate this again? I gifted..."
"Are you about to say that once you give sothing, you never take it back?" Lily paused, then continued, "Mr. Hols! I have principles in everything I do. I won't keep what's not mine. So, please stop making it difficult for . I won't keep this apartnt."
"Fine, take it or leave it! Go!"
Easton's emotions suddenly beca intense, catching Lily completely off guard and startling her. After a while, she regained her composure and swiftly turned to leave the living room, exiting the place.
