After a long, passionate kiss, Lily Turner nestled obediently in Easton Hols’ embrace. Once her breathing cald and beca even, she looked up at him.
"Your aunt and cousin are here. Are you really not going to tell your parents that we’re having the wedding on the eighth?" After hesitating for a mont, she finally mustered the courage to ask the question that had been stuck in her heart for a long ti.
Previously, her relationship with her mother was so bad that it almost reached the point of breaking off their mother-daughter relationship. Now, their relationship had not only been eased, but had returned to the normal state a mother and daughter should have.
He had helped resolve the tension between her and her mother. As his wife, she felt she should step up and help him, striving to nd his relationship with his parents.
Lily believed their wedding was the perfect opportunity to ease the tension between Easton and his parents. Especially since his uncle and aunt were here, she saw it as an unparalleled opportunity.
The ti, place, and people were all right!
She looked up at him, quietly waiting for his answer.
But all she got was silence.
As she waited for Easton to speak, Lily started to get anxious. She reached out and pushed him a little, "I’m talking to you, what do you really think?"
There was no light in the room, so she couldn’t see him clearly. At that mont, she couldn’t make out what expression he was wearing.
"It’s late, let’s sleep."
Easton took her hand off him and gently placed it around his waist, then pulled the woman in his arms tighter.
"But..."
"I’m a bit tired today and really sleepy now, let’s sleep first."
Lily opened her mouth as if to say sothing more, but Easton directly interrupted her. After speaking, he closed his eyes, looking very tired and sleepy.
Seeing this, Lily opened her mouth and closed it again, thinking he might really be tired, so she didn’t disturb him anymore. She snuggled in closer to him and closed her eyes to sleep.
Due to pregnancy symptoms, she could eat and sleep well, and before long, she fell into a deep slumber.
Easton, however, wasn’t sleepy at all. Noticing the woman in his arms was already asleep, he slowly opened his eyes.
He wasn’t actually tired. He had spent the whole day in the office and didn’t feel exhausted at all.
He said that just because he didn’t know how to respond to her question. The day after tomorrow was the day of their wedding, and for the past two days, he had been filled with inner conflict and turmoil.
Thinking about how they had never cared about him all these years, he didn’t want to tell them, didn’t want them to co to his wedding.
But they were his parents, after all. Although on the surface it seed like he didn’t care, only he knew how much it really affected him.
Getting married was a lifelong event, and without his parents’ involvent, he wasn’t sure it wouldn’t leave him with regrets. This regret...
"You jerk! Let go of !"
"You big jerk! I’ll beat you to death! Beat you to death, you big jerk!"
The woman in his arms suddenly started flailing her fists and hitting him indiscriminately. Easton quickly set aside his thoughts and looked down at Lily Turner in his arms. It was then he realized she was talking in her sleep.
"Brother Chen! Hurry, save ! Brother Chen, save !"
Easton hadn’t yet sorted out what she was mumbling about when Lily started speaking again. This ti, instead of hitting him, she was reaching out into the air, trying to grab sothing unknowingly.
