"Hey! Mom! Did you need for sothing?"
Lily Turner picked up the phone and held it to her ear. It was almost lunchti. If her mom was calling now, it wasn’t just for a casual chat.
Since she didn’t have her own cellphone to use at the mont, chatting idly on the ho phone wasn’t very practical or convenient.
Hearing Lily pick up the phone, Sophia hesitated for a mont, but she still voiced the reason for her call, "Tomorrow you’re getting married to Easton. Are you coming ho to stay tonight? A bride should spend the night before her wedding at her parent’s house."
Although Easton Hols and Lily Turner were already legally married and had been living together for a few months, they hadn’t held a wedding ceremony yet. Besides, no one knew when they got married.
Their official wedding ceremony would take place the next day, and Sophia felt that Lily should co ho to stay the night and be picked up by Easton from there, making it a proper wedding.
Marriage might be a matter just between two people, but the families behind them truly exist, and having the wedding without them seed a bit inappropriate.
"Oh right, how did I forget about that?"
Sophia’s reminder made Lily suddenly realize that she was set to get officially married tomorrow, and she should spend the night at ho, as staying at the in-laws’ house didn’t seem suitable.
Previously, due to so unpleasant events, a hasty discussion took place at the Turner Family’s house, and afterward, there was no proper joint discussion between the two families. They only communicated over the phone about the wedding day, without discussing these finer details thoroughly.
"Mom! Hold on a minute, let discuss it with Grandpa. Don’t hang up." Lily said she needed to discuss it, but she’d already made up her mind. She decided to go ho tonight, though she wanted to inform the eldest mber of the family first.
She took the phone away from her ear, covered the receiver with her other hand, and then spoke to Callix Linton sitting not far away, "Grandpa! I’m going ho to stay tonight, my mom will co to pick up in a bit."
She hadn’t yet told her mom about this pickup arrangent, but she was confident her mom would be happy to co and get her.
"Goddess sister! You’re going ho to stay? Why? Isn’t this your ho too?" Before Callix could say anything, Athena Linton anxiously interjected, as if Lily would suddenly disappear. She quickly walked over, standing right in front of Lily as she spoke.
Seeing this, Lily smirked, "Of course this is my ho too, but I should go to my ho tonight. It’s tradition."
She wasn’t one to strictly follow rules, but this one she felt she ought to adhere to, and was happy to do so.
"What kind of tradition is that? Why are you going ho tonight?" Athena chid in again, not ready to let go of the topic.
Seeing this, Serena Zimrman quickly stood up, went over, and pulled Athena away from Lily, "Young kids shouldn’t ddle in adult affairs. Co sit with and watch TV."
"Mom! I’m nineteen now, I’m already an adult." Athena didn’t want Serena to pull her away and instinctively reached out to grab Lily, which gave Serena quite a scare.
