Alice Turner stood right next to Lily Turner while talking on the phone with Easton Hols, without any intention of avoiding her. Lily heard their entire conversation clearly.
"I don’t want Mom to see like this right now."
Although Lily Turner didn’t directly say where she wanted to go, her intention was clear: she didn’t want to go ho now; she chose to go to Alice’s place.
Hearing this, Alice Turner breathed a sigh of relief, "Okay! Let’s go to my place."
Luckily, this girl didn’t want to cause a scene and go sowhere else.
"We’ll head back to my place in a while."
Alice Turner didn’t cover the phone’s mouthpiece or intentionally hold the phone away. She knew Easton Hols had already overheard their conversation through the phone, but she still picked it up to inform him.
"Got it."
After saying "Got it," Easton Hols hung up.
Hearing the beeping sound in her ear, Alice knew he had ended the call. She removed the phone from her ear, tucked it into her pocket, and said to Lily, "Let’s go."
After crying and venting her anger at the man earlier, she reckoned her sister’s mood might not be as bad as before by now.
"Okay."
Lily replied and went downstairs with Alice, and once they were downstairs, they got in the car and left.
Just as their car departed, another car imdiately followed them.
Alice Turner was only worried about Lily and didn’t notice a car had been tailing them the entire way until they stopped at her apartnt building.
Unaware, the two sisters got out of the car and headed upstairs.
"Water or juice?"
As soon as they entered the house, Alice headed straight for the kitchen and turned her head to ask Lily as she walked.
"Water."
After running around outside, she really was a bit thirsty now.
"Go wait in the living room; I’ll be right there."
Alice shouted loudly and walked into the kitchen.
Bang Bang Bang!
Just as Lily was about to head to the living room, she suddenly heard soone knocking on the door. Her first thought was that Easton Hols had arrived.
She told herself not to open the door for him, but her legs betrayed her as they moved towards the door.
When she reached the door, her hand eagerly lifted before she even realized it, and before she knew it, she had opened the door.
"Wife!"
Indeed, the person knocking was Easton Hols. Seeing Lily open the door, he imdiately reached out and grabbed her.
"What are you doing here?"
At the mont her hand was grasped, Lily finally snapped back to reality, struggling to shake off Easton’s grip, but he held on tight, and she couldn’t break free no matter how hard she tried.
When Easton Hols called her earlier, he had already driven away from the compound, thinking she was at the Turner Family ho, and headed in that direction.
Later, after learning from Alice that the two sisters were coming here, he imdiately turned the car around and rushed over.
As he arrived, he happened to see the sisters heading inside.
After getting out of his car, he quickly followed them in but still was a step too late; the sisters had already entered the elevator.
"Of course, I’m here to find you."
Easton casually closed the door and pulled Lily inside. He knew he couldn’t take her away now, so he had to settle things here.
"I don’t need you!"
Lily retorted defiantly.
