Lily Turner's words instantly infuriated Jenny York, who started jumping up and down on the other end of the phone, angrily shouting, "Lily Turner! Don't get so smug. I won't let this go easily."
"I'll be waiting for you!"
No matter how the person on the other end of the line would react, Lily Turner finished speaking and rudely hung up the phone. After hanging up, she was so angry she was practically panting for breath.
She must have been blind to have beco best friends with soone like that, and they had been friends for seven years. In those seven years, she didn't see at all what kind of person her best friend truly was.

Suddenly, as if rembering sothing, Lily Turner raised her right hand and slapped her forehead hard. Look at her, the pig-brained fool; she'd forgotten the most important thing.
Not thinking any further, she flipped through her phone's contact list, quickly finding the number labeled Easton. She hesitated for a mont before finally gathering the courage to call.
"Sorry! The number you dialed is turned off!"
Lily Turner was already prepared for scolding and bla, but what she heard was the notification that the other person's phone was turned off. She dialed again, only to hear the sa ssage.

After trying twice and getting the sa result, Lily Turner assud it was just like that and stopped trying that number. She switched to dialing Luke Crowe's number.
However, to her surprise, she again heard the notification that the other person's phone was turned off.
What was going on with these two? Had they planned this in advance?
Lily Turner glanced at the ti on her phone; it was already 6:30 in the morning. She decided to try again in half an hour.
Unbelievably, half an hour later, the result was the sa: both phones were still turned off.
She waited another ten minutes before trying again, but she still heard the sa notification, and by this point, she couldn't stay calm.

Thinking of this, Lily Turner could no longer stay in her room. She grabbed her phone and walked out, heading next door to borrow Alice Turner's phone.
Without knocking, Lily Turner pushed the door open and walked in. She'd never had the habit of knocking for years, but the sa went for her and Alice; neither of them ever knocked before entering each other's rooms.
