"I’m just about to divorce her."
Driving towards the Military District Compound, Thomas Fisher couldn’t get Benjamin Shaw’s words out of his head. She and his third brother were about to divorce, and she would soon no longer be his sister-in-law.
Thinking about Alice Turner regaining her single status soon, Thomas Fisher’s face lit up with an eager smile, his mouth grinning widely.
"Thomas, why are you smiling?"
Athena Linton, seated in the passenger seat, noticed Thomas Fisher suddenly smiling so happily, and found it quite puzzling.
Hearing soone next to him speaking, Thomas Fisher instinctively glanced sideways, "Of course I’m happy."
She was about to be free, of course he was happy. He was even considering buying fireworks to celebrate finally being able to pursue her without hesitation.
"Why are you happy? Tell , so I can be happy too, okay?" Athena Linton turned slightly, facing Thomas Fisher, who was driving, with a look of earnest anticipation.
Thomas Fisher felt the gaze from beside him, but he didn’t turn his head to look at her. He continued facing the road ahead, "Your brother and your goddess sister are getting married today, aren’t you happy?"
At this mont, only he truly knew why he was so happy. He didn’t want to share his happiness with others; it was enough to revel in it alone.
"Of course I’m happy. Goddess sister is my sister-in-law now!" Athena Linton wholeheartedly believed Thomas Fisher’s words, thinking he was rely happy because of Easton Hols and Lily Turner’s wedding. She couldn’t guess anything else; such ideas were beyond her wildest dreams.
Thomas Fisher didn’t say anything more, maintaining his previous deanor, seeming focused on driving, yet his mind had long wandered to Alice Turner.
"Thomas, do you have a girlfriend?"
Athena Linton didn’t beco quiet due to Thomas Fisher’s silence. Instead, she suddenly showed concern for his relationship status, staring at him with eager eyes full of anticipation.
Hearing this, Thomas Fisher’s brow furrowed slightly, "Yes, I do."
Even though he wasn’t officially with her yet, internally, he already considered her his girlfriend, believing it was just a matter of ti before she beca his true girlfriend.
"Oh! You already have a girlfriend? Who is it?"
Upon hearing that Thomas Fisher had a girlfriend, Athena Linton’s hopeful expression turned to instant disappointnt.
Her heart sank, and her hopeful eyes were now filled with sadness. She even pouted unhappily.
Athena Linton’s disappointed exclamation reached Thomas Fisher’s ears, causing him to glance at her for a mont, that glance left him astonished.
What was that expression on this little girl’s face? Why would she have such an expression?
Thomas Fisher wasn’t so naive young guy; he imdiately understood the aning behind Athena Linton’s expression. He was sowhat taken aback.
"I’m already this old; am I supposed to be without a girlfriend? Do you want to be called a single dog?" He was surprised for a mont, but quickly adjusted his attitude.
"You’re only twenty-seven, my brother got married when he was thirty." Athena Linton retorted imdiately.
This little girl really wanted to spar with him!
Thomas Fisher helplessly raised his brows, eventually responding, "Your brother got married at thirty, but it doesn’t an he only got a girlfriend at thirty. Besides, my situation is different from your brother’s."
