After the wedding, the guests who ca to congratulate were all invited to the military district’s dining hall, where Easton Hols had prepared a lavish wedding banquet for everyone, which also served as a thank-you feast to express gratitude to those who attended his wedding with Lily Turner.
"Whew!"
As she left the auditorium, Lily Turner let out a long sigh of relief. She was really nervous during the wedding, even more than she was the first ti she walked the runway.
"Honey! You did great just now."
Easton Hols had been standing by Lily Turner’s side the whole ti. He could feel her nervousness the most, and hearing her sigh of relief, his own heart finally settled down.
When they were inside having the wedding ceremony, he was really afraid she’d faint from nervousness. He wasn’t worried about losing face; he was just purely concerned for her.
Thomas Fisher was standing nearby. Upon hearing Easton Hols praising Lily Turner, he imdiately voiced his opinion, "Bro! That’s too biased, isn’t it? Only your wife perford well? Did Athena and I not do great?"
He nudged Athena Linton’s arm, pulling her in to form an alliance with him, "Athena! Don’t you think I’m right? Didn’t we also perform well just now? We didn’t embarrass your brother."
He wasn’t nervous at all just now, but this little girl was incredibly nervous; he could even see her legs trembling, and she probably still hasn’t recovered.
Thomas Fisher guessed right. Athena Linton was still in a state of nervousness; physically, she was less tense than before, but her mind was still on edge.
When Thomas Fisher spoke to her, she stared blankly at him for a long ti without any response, tilting her head as if she didn’t understand what he was saying.
"Athena! Why are you staring at like that? Don’t tell you were scared silly?" Seeing Athena Linton staring at him unblinkingly, Thomas Fisher reached out and poked her on the forehead, trying to snap her out of the tension from before.
Thomas Fisher’s sudden actions drew the attention of the others, most of whom looked on with concern.
"Athena! Are you okay?"
Lily Turner had been so focused on her own nervousness just now that she completely forgot about her bridesmaid, Athena Linton. Hearing Thomas Fisher’s fussing, she realized Athena was still anxious.
She quickly stepped around Easton Hols, walked to Athena Linton’s side, and took her hand, "The wedding is over now, you don’t have to be so tense anymore."
As she spoke, she shook her friend’s arm, helping her snap out of her stupor.
"Goddess Sister..."
When she heard Lily Turner say the wedding was over, the dazed Athena Linton suddenly snapped back to reality. She turned aside and hugged her goddess-like sister, seeking comfort.
Seeing Athena Linton finally reacting, everyone else’s rising concern gradually faded, and the worry on their faces slowly disappeared.
Unlike everyone else’s reaction to Athena Linton’s state, William Turner took a completely different approach. Walking over, he teased her as she hugged Lily Turner, "You really have no guts. This small matter scared you like this. If it were your own wedding, wouldn’t you be so scared you’d pee your pants?"
"You’re such a buzzkill!"
Finally, he made an annoying gesture towards her.
"William Turner!"
What William Turner said was already infuriating enough, and now he even made a lousy gesture towards her. Athena Linton quickly withdrew from Lily Turner’s embrace, raising her fist as she charged at him.
