Sophia Wood called just after Easton Hols left the compound, and thinking it was Luke Crowe calling, he picked up the phone to find it was his mother-in-law, which surprised him for a mont.
"Hello! Mom!"
He held the steering wheel with one hand and the phone with the other, not missing a beat.
"Easton! Did you see that post on the internet?" Sophia Wood didn’t waste ti with small talk and went straight to the point.
Just after hearing from Lily Turner that he’d gone out, she imdiately thought he might have seen the post online, though she didn’t dare to be certain.
Hearing this, Easton Hols knew that Sophia Wood had seen the post online, "Mom! You don’t need to worry about this; I already know who posted it, and I’m on my way to find him now."
When he ntioned the person who posted it, he gritted his teeth angrily.
"Who on earth is so vile? To spread such nonsense online." Sophia Wood found out about the post after receiving a call from her sister-in-law Olivia Turner, and when she opened the post and saw it, she was almost infuriated to the point of fainting.
She sat on the sofa fuming for half a day before slowly calming down. Once she was calm, she imdiately called Easton Hols, but his phone was continuously busy.
In her urgency, she didn’t think too much and directly dialed the ho phone, but to her surprise, the one who answered was Lily Turner.
"It’s a small-ti crook known by the nickna ’Blondie.’"
Easton Hols already knew the specific details about the person nicknad Blondie, but he wasn’t naive enough to think that Blondie acted alone in all this.
This so-called Blondie was definitely paid off by soone, and to find out by whom, Easton needed to track down Blondie. But he already had an idea of who was behind Blondie.
Sophia Wood wasn’t aware of too many details. Hearing Easton say this, she was utterly puzzled, "Does that crook called Blondie have a grudge against Lily? Why would he harm her like this?"
In her rage, she didn’t consider much, assuming it was all Blondie’s doing.
"Mom! I’ll handle this, and once it’s taken care of, I’ll fill you in. I’m driving now, so let’s not talk anymore." Easton spoke to Sophia Wood politely and with great respect. He’s not one to hold grudges; all past unpleasantness had dissipated when harmony was restored between Sophia and Lily.
Hearing Easton’s words, Sophia still had many questions she wanted to ask, but she decided to hang up and not disturb Easton from catching that vile crook.
"Alright, I won’t disturb your driving. I just..." Sophia seed to rember sothing suddenly and asked cautiously, "Lily doesn’t know about the post, does she?"
If that girl found out, how would she handle it? Sophia was so angry herself she almost burst.
Sophia’s worries were also Easton’s worries. He was equally concerned about Lily finding out because he couldn’t predict what might happen if she did.
"She doesn’t know." He would do everything possible to keep this from her and ensure she had no chance to co across it.
"That’s a relief, then. I’ll hang up now." Once Sophia was sure Lily was unaware of the post, she finally felt at ease and decisively ended the call.
