Easton Hols completely ignored the surprising look on Mrs. Wang’s face, turned around, faced her, and pointed upstairs, asking, "Where is your young master?"
Having grown up with Callix Linton in the Military District Compound, Easton Hols had no concept of ho when it ca to his parents’ house. So much so that when Alia Linton gave him the house key, he refused without hesitation.
He always felt that this place had nothing to do with him, and that key felt like soone else’s to him, the thought of taking it made him uneasy.
"...The second young master hasn’t co back for several days." Initially, Mrs. Wang didn’t react, as Easton was referring to Theodore Hols as their young master. Staring at him frozen for a mont, she finally responded truthfully.
Unaware, Easton Hols saw this situation and thought Mrs. Wang was lying to him. As for why she would lie, it must be closely related to Theodore Hols.
With this suspicion, his expression darkened imdiately, "He hasn’t been back for several days? Are you not telling the truth? Did he tell you to say this to ?"
He took a step forward, directly closing in on Mrs. Wang standing in front of him.
If Mrs. Wang weren’t a woman, if she weren’t so old, Easton Hols would have already grabbed her, but all of this was just hypothetical, so he had to suppress his impulse.
"I’m telling the truth, the second young master really hasn’t been back for several days. If you don’t believe , you can call Mr. and Mrs. Hols." As Easton stepped closer, Mrs. Wang could see how angry he was and, not wanting to get herself into trouble, she redirected the situation to Fabian Hols and Alia Linton.
As soon as Mrs. Wang finished speaking, Easton’s brow furrowed. He glanced at Fabian and Alia’s room door, then turned back to Mrs. Wang, "Mr. and Mrs. Hols aren’t ho?"
He already had the answer in his heart; whether Mrs. Wang answered or not made no difference to him.
"Didn’t you know? Mrs. Hols slit her wrists the night before last and was hospitalized." At this mont, Mrs. Wang was extrely puzzled, wondering how he, as a son, did not know that his own mother had attempted suicide.
"Slit her wrists the night before last?"
Yesterday, I still saw her at ho, and she didn’t seem unusual.
Easton Hols was even more puzzled than Mrs. Wang. The person who supposedly slit her wrists the night before last had appeared at his wedding yesterday, and he couldn’t wrap his head around it.
He remained skeptical of Mrs. Wang’s explanation.
Mrs. Wang nodded: "Yes!"
Being aware of her position, she didn’t elaborate; she just stated the situation, preferring to stay silent about the rest.
"Which hospital is she in now?"
Seeing that Mrs. Wang didn’t seem to be lying, Easton’s mood swiftly soured.
Mrs. Wang gave him the address of the hospital where Alia Linton was admitted. With the hospital address in hand, he left without looking back.
Once in the car, Easton drove straight to the hospital. His mind was filled with the thought of Alia Linton’s attempted suicide, temporarily putting Theodore Hols out of his mind.
anwhile, at the hospital...
Fabian Hols and Alia Linton had already gone to sleep, one on the hospital bed, the other on the sofa. They were both sleeping deeply and soundly.
Buzz Buzz Buzz!
The buzzing of a phone woke Fabian Hols from his deep sleep. He reached out and picked up the phone from the table beside him.
Seeing that it was from the family’s maid, Mrs. Wang, his first reaction was that Theodore Hols had returned ho. He sat up with a jolt and imdiately answered the call.
