Fabian was most worried about this issue; the reason he called Easton Hols was to discuss it. He believed that family matters should be resolved within the confines of the ho. There was no need to make it a public spectacle.
This not only would save face but also preserve the familial bond.
"Easton! After all, he’s your brother. He acted on impulse; please forgive him this ti." Although the two had never addressed each other as brothers in all these years and had little contact, they were, after all, half-brothers. Blood is thicker than water.
To prevent the brothers from turning against each other, Fabian had to remind Easton that they were brothers, hoping the person on the other end of the line would take this into account and not hold a grudge.
Easton Hols coldly curled his lips: "You knew this would happen. You should have educated your precious son better back then. Since you didn’t want to educate him, let soone else do it for him now, or else he won’t even know how to be a decent person."
"There’s no room for negotiation on this matter, so don’t call again." After saying this, he ended the call abruptly.
Easton hung up decisively, leaving Fabian feeling both upset and anxious. He hesitated, considering calling back, but recalled Easton’s stern words and imdiately abandoned the idea.
His eldest son’s attitude was so resolute, and any call would not change a thing. Since childhood, his son had many grievances against him and never listened to his words.
He only listened to his father-in-law and brother-in-law, his father-in-law and brother-in-law!
Fabian suddenly saw a glimr of hope. He dared not disturb his father-in-law, but his brother-in-law, Michael Linton, he could still bother.
With this in mind, Fabian wasted no ti, found Michael’s number in the contact list, hesitated for a mont, but then mustered the courage to dial it.
When Michael received Fabian’s call, he was sound asleep. Seeing it was Fabian, he snapped awake and quickly answered the phone.
"What’s wrong? Did sothing happen to my sister again?" Seeing Fabian’s call, Michael’s first reaction was that sothing happened to Alia Linton, and his entire being beca anxious. He answered the call while sitting up on the bed.
Beside him, Serena Zimrman was also awakened. Hearing Michael’s concerned words, her heart skipped a beat. She looked up at him with worry, "What’s wrong with my sister?"
She too sat up while asking the question.
"Your sister is fine, no need to worry." Fabian, listening over the phone, sensed the concern and tension in Michael and Serena’s voices, and quickly explained.
Hearing that his sister was fine, Nathan Linton breathed a sigh of relief but then furrowed his brows in confusion. "Then why are you calling at this hour?"
It was already past two in the morning, and he didn’t believe his brother-in-law was calling for a chat.
"Can you persuade Easton not to send his brother to the police station?" Fabian spoke faster than usual, worried he might be interrupted by Michael, making it hard to continue once stopped.
