Easton Hols has always been swift and decisive in his actions. Michael Linton was not surprised, but there was so concern in his heart, fearing that this matter could bring an imasurable blow to their family.
Their family was already in a precarious situation, and now it would have to endure a storm; their family might be on the verge of breaking apart.
"Is there really no room for turning this around?" He genuinely didn’t want to see their family of four hurting each other. Four people who should love each other as family were in such a state now, causing him deep pain. His old father would feel even more heartache.
For the sake of their family of four, and for his own father’s sake, Michael Linton wanted to use his strength to strive for a resolution, to minimize the impact of this matter.
Easton Hols shook his head without hesitation, "Uncle! That boy isn’t worth your sympathy."
On the way back, he thought a lot.
The situation with Valentina must be related to that boy. That boy caused trouble repeatedly; how could he easily let that boy go?
These issues have already surfaced, and he’s wondering if there are any hidden matters under the surface. He thinks he should investigate thoroughly.
"Uncle isn’t sympathizing with him; Uncle just doesn’t want to see your family falling apart." How could he sympathize with that boy; that boy had nothing to do with him. Michael Linton was most concerned about Easton Hols and Alia Linton; the mother and son were deeply in his thoughts.
Easton Hols let out a bitter smile, "That family ceased to exist in na long ago."
Hearing Fabian Hols and Theodore Hols’s conversation over the phone at the hospital entrance, Easton Hols had already determined that the three of them hadn’t been doing well together many years. Otherwise, that boy wouldn’t have said such heartless words, and his mother wouldn’t have attempted suicide.
"Did you... figure sothing out?"
Michael Linton noticed the fleeting sadness in Easton Hols’s eyes and asked cautiously.
Easton Hols didn’t answer Michael’s question but instead asked him, "Uncle! You seem to know sothing, right?"
Although he was asking, he didn’t need the other to answer, as he already had his own answer in his heart, and he believed it to be accurate.
"I know a few things." Michael Linton didn’t expect Easton would ask him back, but he still replied honestly.
"The ones you should persuade the most are those two. Instead of quarreling, they might as well part ways and forget each other." Although those two had ignored him for years, they were still his parents. They were no longer young; they had fought most of their lives, and enough was enough.
When Easton learned that Alia Linton attempted suicide, he was particularly distressed, and even now it bothered him greatly.
Such a sensible and good child, but how could those two act like that?
Together, they were over a hundred years old, yet so immature.
Recalling what Fabian and Alia did, Michael Linton couldn’t help but sigh, "Those two, I can’t persuade them; unless they co to their senses themselves."
His sister and brother-in-law were not as sensible as his nephew and niece-in-law. It’s not sothing he could persuade into being sensible.
Though he said this, he still didn’t want to give up. He wanted to make another effort for his father’s and nephew’s sake.
