Michael knew his old father well and understood that he needed so ti alone to calm down, so he didn’t say anything further and imdiately went upstairs with Serena.
"Michael! Will Dad be okay?"
Once she was sure that old Mr. Linton downstairs couldn’t hear, Serena asked Michael worriedly.
"What hasn’t Dad been through? This little issue isn’t going to affect him." Callix Linton had weathered many storms, and Michael was confident in his father’s resilience. He wasn’t worried about him at all, but he was concerned that his father wouldn’t easily forgive his sister and brother-in-law this ti.
His sister and brother-in-law had been crossing the line more and more, and their father had been tolerating them for years, reaching his limit.
Michael’s concern was justified. Callix Linton truly didn’t plan on letting Fabian Hols and Alia Linton off easily. Their actions in recent tis had pushed him to the brink of disappointnt and tolerance.
He had intended to confront them later, but before he could act, their mischievous son had already provoked his grandson.
The three of them were so detestable; why should he be polite to them? This ti, he wouldn’t hold back.
Amidst all the family drama, Lily Turner remained blissfully unaware in her sweet slumber, only waking up to the sound of the alarm clock in the morning.
Michael Linton, Serena Zimrman, and Athena Linton were leaving Fla City for Golden Morning today, and Lily was worried she might oversleep and miss seeing them off, so she set an alarm before going to bed.
Her drowsiness hadn’t completely dissipated from the alarm, so she forced herself to open her eyes, only to find herself alone in bed, furrowing her brows in puzzlent.
Had that guy not co ho last night?
Lily glanced at the pillow beside her. The robe she left there last night was gone. She didn’t need to guess; Easton Hols must have taken it. But if he had co back, why wasn’t he in bed?
Lily sat up and glanced at the sofa not far from the bed, but Easton Hols was nowhere in sight, increasing her perplexity.
She got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom, assuming he might be there, but found it empty, not a trace of him.
Lily didn’t search outside the room. After freshening up and changing, she left to find Easton Hols, assuming he didn’t want to disturb her sleep and had gone to the study. She headed straight there from her room.
In the study, she didn’t find him, but she did find sothing—his robe on the single bed.
When had that guy co back last night? And where had he run off to this morning?
Wasn’t he supposed to have a break at ho these days? So where had he gone early in the morning? A morning run?
Lily turned and left the study, planning to return to her room to call Easton Hols, but she ran into Athena Linton, who was coming out of the bathroom.
"Goddess sister! Why are you up so early today?" Athena exclaid in surprise, running excitedly towards Lily.
"I wanted to have breakfast with you."
Lily smiled at the energetic Athena running toward her, curious about what kind of man could eventually win over such a fiery girl.
