Lily Turner was completely unaware of what happened yesterday. After Easton Hols received a phone call and rushed out, she always thought he went to the military district. She couldn’t have imagined it would be because of the post.
Easton Hols wasn’t planning to let Lily Turner know about the matter. When she asked, he casually and lightly replied, "It’s all taken care of."
He’s already handed that brat over to the police to handle. He wants that brat to know that soldiers and military wives can’t be insulted casually.
"Oh!" Lily Turner responded softly.
Easton Hols took the opportunity to change the topic and looked down at her in his arms, "You haven’t seen all day, did you miss ?"
He reached out a hand to hold her chin, forcing her to look up at him.
"I did."
In her heart, Lily really had missed him, and this ti she admitted it openly. She didn’t say any insincere words as she did before, "But you don’t miss . You co back so late and you didn’t even give a call."
She suddenly changed her expression and complained to him unhappily.
"It won’t happen next ti. I’ll definitely co ho earlier in the future. If I don’t return by eight, I’ll call you." How could he not miss her? But he had to rush to deal with that matter; if delayed, it’d beco troubleso. His biggest worry was that she would find out.
Easton Hols released his hand that was holding Lily Turner, wrapped his arm around her. Hugging her felt so good. He wanted to hold her like this forever, without needing to think or do anything else, just holding her was enough.
"Goddess sister! I’m here."
Hearing Athena Linton’s voice, Lily Turner quickly pushed away Easton Hols and looked at Athena Linton walking out of the room.
"Honey! Athena and I are going downstairs for dinner, are you coming with us or going back to the room to rest?" She assud he didn’t rest well last night. She hoped he would go back to the room to rest; skipping one al isn’t a big deal, but not resting well can affect his health.
"Of course, I’m going downstairs to eat with you. After dinner, we’ll go back to the room together to rest." Easton Hols reached out to pull Lily Turner and dragged her downstairs, not caring whether Athena Linton was following.
Seeing her goddess sister being snatched away by her brother, Athena Linton quickly ran to catch up, grabbing Lily Turner’s other hand. She leaned in and teasingly raised an eyebrow at her brother.
Being pulled by the siblings one on each side, Lily Turner suddenly felt a strong emotion that Easton Hols and Athena Linton were her parents, and she was their child.
"Can we each walk on our own?" This feeling was too strange. Lily Turner decided to walk by herself. As she spoke, she struggled to withdraw her hand from the two, but she only managed to retrieve one.
After hearing Lily Turner’s words, Athena Linton voluntarily released her hand, and Lily Turner almost didn’t have to struggle to pull her hand back.
But Easton Hols did the complete opposite, not only ignoring Lily Turner’s wish to let go, but he held on even tighter.
Lily Turner looked down at the hand holding hers tightly, then looked up at its owner. Her intent was clear, wanting him to let go. But the man didn’t look at her at all, leaving her helplessly sighing at him.
Athena Linton’s entire attention was on going downstairs for a al. As for other matters, she didn’t pay much heed, bouncing ahead of the two like a happy little rabbit.
