Hearing Easton Hols say he’d co over soon, Alia Linton felt very excited; even after she hung up the phone, she still held onto it tightly. It took her a long ti to finally take the phone away from her ear.
She lifted the blanket from her legs, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom. She wiped her tear-stained face with a towel and looked in the mirror. Confirming she didn’t look as disheveled, she stepped out of the bathroom.
Alia didn’t return to the bedside but went over to sit on the sofa. She turned on the TV, watching it while waiting for Easton’s arrival.
Her mind was both excited and nervous, with a touch of apprehension; she didn’t know the real reason Easton was coming to the hospital.
Was he here to visit her, injured and hospitalized? Last night, he ca to the hospital too, but he didn’t even enter the ward. Instead, he argued with his father at the hospital entrance for a while before leaving.
Alia knew the details of last night’s events from Fabian Hols, but he was using this incident intentionally to annoy her, and she was indeed quite upset.
Because of her anger, she called Easton, but several calls didn’t go through. At that mont, she didn’t realize what was happening. Later, she gradually understood that she had been blocked by him.
Finding out she’d been blocked by her son, Alia imdiately changed out of her hospital gown and left the hospital, driving directly to the estate. She wanted to ask Easton why he was treating her like this.
But upon reaching the estate gates, she was stopped. It was only then she realized she’d not only been blocked by her son but also barred by her father; her father had even blocked her.
Alia was furious, and seeing Easton’s car unexpectedly at the estate gate, she thought she could finally vent her feelings. Yet, instead of venting, she was scolded by her brother.
She couldn’t imdiately make sense of it, and couldn’t find anyone to vent to, so she drove away from the estate gates.
For a mont, she didn’t know where to go, aimlessly driving amidst the traffic. Until, at a red light, she inadvertently saw an elderly man with white hair crossing the street with a cane, and at that mont, she suddenly thought of her father.
Alia didn’t understand what was wrong with her; tears suddenly stread down her face. The tears ca too suddenly, very fiercely, and were uncontrollable.
If it wasn’t for the horn from the car behind her, she probably would have cried on the street indefinitely. Later, she stopped aimlessly wandering the streets and drove back to the hospital.
After returning to the hospital, she could no longer control her emotions, and cried loudly under the covers. All the grievances and unwillingness she had suffered over the years instantly turned into tears.
When she received the phone call from Easton earlier, Alia’s emotions slightly stabilized. Having just cried, her mood was much better than before, feeling her suffocating mood had eased sowhat.
Bang, bang, bang!
Upon hearing a knock on the door, Alia quickly gathered her thoughts and got up to walk to the door. She had locked the door after returning, not wanting anyone to see her disheveled state.
"Coming!"
As Alia expected, upon opening the door, she indeed saw her son Easton; not only had he co, but he was also holding a fruit basket. The tears she had just held back imdiately fell again.
