Easton Hols reached out to take the phone from the bedside table. Lily Turner instinctively glanced over and saw the words "mother-in-law." His mother-in-law was none other than her mother.
"It’s a call from my mom. She’s definitely looking for ." As she spoke, she had already reached out to take the phone from his hand.
"How can you tell? What if mom is looking for ?" Easton Hols dodged to the side with the phone, not letting Lily Turner reach it. He was filled with regret for not avoiding picking up the phone in the first place.
The mont he saw Sophia Wood’s call, he imdiately knew she was looking for him. As for why she was looking for him, he was well aware; it was undoubtedly to ask if he had found the person who posted the ssage.
But Lily Turner was unaware of all this. Seeing Easton Hols hold the phone far away, she thought he didn’t want her to contact her mother, and her face changed abruptly. "Easton Hols! You’re too much! Why won’t you let answer when my mom calls? What are you up to?"
She got up to grab the phone he held far away, but he moved it even further. She slapped him in frustration. "Give the phone already. My mom must need sothing from ."
She listened as the phone rang over and over. Her mom must have sothing urgent, otherwise she wouldn’t keep calling.
"Sweetheart! Just lie down, I’ll answer the call for you." Seeing Lily Turner a bit upset, Easton Hols grew even more remorseful. But now, it was impossible to make up a lie. He couldn’t hang up either, or she would really be mad.
His suggestion was t with firm opposition from Lily Turner, who didn’t hesitate at all, "No! I want to answer my mom’s call myself."
