After finding out that the mastermind behind the online incident was Theodore Hols, Sophia Wood imdiately thought of Ivy Shaw. The mont she rembered Ivy Shaw, the anger and anxiety in her heart were instantly replaced by worry and conflict.
"I think it’s better for our family to handle this matter ourselves, rather than making it bigger. That wouldn’t be good for you and Lily." She didn’t have to think much; that kid doing such a thing must have sothing to do with the grudges among the three adults from back then.
The poor kid has been without his biological mother beside him since childhood, and all these years he’s been living with people who hate him and his mother.
Sophia Wood felt heartbroken just thinking about it, sympathizing with Theodore Hols’s experiences over the years. As his biological mother’s close friend, she felt an obligation to help him.
He was so well-behaved as a child, especially obedient and sensible, and everyone who t him praised him for being both adorable and mature.
He surely can’t have turned out too badly now. He must have done such things because of Sophia Wood; he definitely wasn’t targeting his brother and sister-in-law.
Easton Hols, although unsure of why Sophia Wood suddenly changed her stance, knew there must be a reason behind it. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have reacted this way.
What magic does that kid possess? It’s one thing for his dad to defend him, but now even his mother-in-law is stepping up to protect him, leaving Easton utterly bewildered.
He recalled that yesterday, the kid ntioned over the phone that his kid’s mother had been killed by Easton’s mom.
Why would the kid say sothing like that? Could it possibly be true?
"I don’t intend to blow things out of proportion. I just want him to learn a lesson; otherwise, he’ll continue to do outrageous things in the future." His mind was a bit muddled now; there were matters he needed to clarify first before deciding on how to proceed, but the kid had to face consequences for his wrongdoing.
"What on earth happened? Can either of you explain it to ?" Lily Turner, who had been silent for a while, suddenly spoke up. Having listened for a while, she knew her brother posted sothing online, and it surely wasn’t anything good; otherwise, he wouldn’t be this angry. However, her mom’s attitude was perplexing.
Her mom was quite anxious at first, but as soon as she heard it was her brother, her deanor changed dramatically, and Lily could clearly sense it.
Lily glanced at her phone and then at Easton Hols beside her. Besides confusion, she felt utterly baffled, waiting for soone on the other end of the call to clarify the situation for her.
"Mom! Let’s leave it at that, and I’ll call you back later," Easton Hols hurriedly said to Sophia Wood on the other end of the line before hanging up, without any regard for how the other person might react.
Lily Turner was anxious to uncover the truth. Upon seeing Easton hang up, she imdiately pressed him, "What’s going on? Did you run out yesterday because of this? You must tell the truth. Don’t try to concoct any lies to fool , or else just don’t say anything, and I’ll go ask my mom."
To prevent him from deceiving her with lies, she emphasized in advance. Since the matter involved her, she believed she had the right to know.
Everyone else knew except for her, making her feel like a fool. She had already played the fool once before and didn’t want to continue doing so.
