Thomas Fisher has many female friends. As his mother, Autumn York knows this very well. She’s not worried about her son finding a wife, but she’s afraid he might randomly choose a woman to marry.
The daughter-in-law of the Fisher Family cannot be just any woman. She doesn’t care about the woman’s family background but values the girl’s own qualities, especially her character, education, and deanor, which she considers most important.
"I have a target already and am working hard towards it." Since his mom had already figured it out, there was no need for him to hide it anymore. He would have to reveal it sooner or later. Thomas Fisher had already decided in his heart that he would marry Alice Turner and no one else in this life.
Although she had guessed Thomas Fisher had a target, hearing him admit it surprised and delighted Autumn, "You really have a target? That’s great! When will you introduce her to your mom?"
She wanted to see what the girl was like, and if she wasn’t suitable, she’d have to stop having any thoughts early on.
"Mom! Can you not be so anxious? I’ll definitely introduce her to you when the ti is right." Thomas Fisher directly rejected his mom’s request to et Alice Turner. This was definitely not the right ti. It’s not that he didn’t want to bring her to et the parents, but he knew she wouldn’t co with him now. He understood what kind of person she was.
Autumn York was filled with anticipation, but hearing Thomas Fisher’s words diminished her expectations imdiately, "When will that be? Don’t tell that you’re just having a one-sided love, and the girl isn’t interested in you."
That wasn’t her son’s style at all. Her son was quite high-profile about such matters, and he can’t keep calm.
"Mom, your son is loved by everyone. How could I be in a one-sided relationship?" Maybe before today, he was experiencing one-sided love, but today she had agreed to be with him. She liked him too and agreed to go on adventures with him. Thinking about what happened earlier this evening, Thomas Fisher felt particularly excited.
Hearing her son say such things, Autumn York gave him a sidelong glance in mock annoyance, "Loved by everyone, huh? You can just keep showing off."
Even though she said that, she didn’t truly feel that way inside. Her son was indeed very handso and had every right to show off.
"I’m just going to show off."
Thomas Fisher raised his eyebrows at his mom boastfully. After showing off, he suddenly rembered that Alice Turner was still waiting for him. He quickly issued a guest eviction order to Autumn, "Mom! It’s so late already, you should quickly go downstairs to sleep. Don’t leave Dad alone in an empty room."
As he spoke, he nudged her towards the door.
"You child, you’re becoming more and more disrespectful." Autumn York playfully hit Thomas on the shoulder to express her dissatisfaction at being shooed away.
Hearing this, Thomas imdiately retorted, "I’ve only turned out this way because of you."
He wondered who he could have inherited this lack of formality from.
"You..."
"You better get going, or Dad might really co up to find you."
Autumn attempted to say sothing, but Thomas interrupted her after just one word. When she tried to speak again, he had already ushered her out through the door.
After escorting his mom out, Thomas Fisher promptly shut his bedroom door, and as soon as it was closed, he locked it.
"You brat! You better work hard!"
After shouting this into the room, Autumn York turned and went downstairs.
