Lily Turner knew Easton Hols had a younger brother, but she didn’t know where that brother ca from. Today, she just learned that his brother was the son of her mother’s best friend, but she was getting more and more confused about the whole situation.
"Easton’s brother is the son of Aunt Ivy and his father," Sophia Wood said after a mont of silence, bracing herself to reveal the truth.
Upon hearing this, Lily Turner widened her eyes in shock, so stunned that she began to stutter, "Wh, what?! Easton’s brother is the son of Aunt Ivy and his father?"
This was simply unbelievable, far beyond what she had expected.
Sophia Wood and Alice Turner knew Lily was going to react like this. Seeing her reaction, the two of them weren’t surprised or startled; they were just a bit worried that this matter might affect her relationship with Easton Hols.
"Don’t get so worked up, be careful about the baby inside you." Worried that Lily’s emotions might get out of control, Alice Turner pointed at her belly, promptly reminding her that she was pregnant.
"I’m not upset, I just hadn’t expected this, it’s too bizarre." Lily glanced at her sister, reassuring her that there was no need to worry about her. She then looked past her sister to Sophia Wood, "Mom! Does Easton’s mother not know that his brother is her husband’s son with Aunt Ivy?"
His mom treats his brother much better than him. She probably doesn’t know, right? Otherwise, how could she be so good to his brother?
From what little she understands of his mom, there’s no way she could be that open-minded.
"She knows."
"She knows?!"
Sophia Wood’s confirmation left Lily shocked beyond belief. How could this be possible? His mom knew and was still good to his brother? She simply couldn’t believe it was true.
At that mont, her perception of his mother was completely turned upside down.
Sophia nodded: "Everyone in their family is aware of their relationship."
Back then, Alia Linton made quite a scene, and not just the family, but many outsiders knew about it too.
"No wonder Grandpa had such strong opinions about his mom and dad, it was because of this." Lily suddenly rembered the scene where Callix Linton berated Alia Linton and Fabian Hols. Now she knew the reason.
Their actions were really not appropriate. To neglect their own son for the son of a mistress, she could understand his dad favoring the son of a mistress, but she couldn’t comprehend his mom’s actions.
Sophia Wood stood up and moved past Alice Turner to sit beside Lily, "Lily! This might be why Fabian might have impulsively posted sothing online. He probably wasn’t targeting you two."
She was confident it was because of this issue, but to understand exactly what was going on, she’d have to ask him personally. Was there a chance she’d get to et the poor child?
"Are you saying he wasn’t targeting and Easton? But was instead targeting Easton’s mom?" Although her own mother didn’t say it explicitly, Lily could hear that this was what her mom was saying, "Why would he do that? Easton’s mom neglected her own son for him. He’s being so ungrateful by doing this, isn’t he? He’s biting the hand that feeds him."
At this mont, a sense of righteousness rose within her, self-righteously believing that Theodore Hols was soone who didn’t know how to be grateful, even considering him an ungrateful person.
