Each ti Noah attempted to close the distance, Mira would create a new formation of Chi projections to keep him at bay. Unlike her teammates who relied on raw power or speed, Mira's style was built on spatial control and misdirection.

'She's maintaining optimal distance,' Noah thought, analyzing her patterns as he deflected another phantom strike. 'Creating a buffer zone where her projections are most effective. I need to disrupt that spacing.'

Noah shifted his stance, channeling his Chi differently. The aura around him beca more concentrated, focusing around his core rather than his limbs. He began to move differently, his steps more deliberate, each movent serving a purpose beyond re evasion.

Mira, sensing the change in his approach, intensified her assault. The Chi projections multiplied, forming a strange web of energy that seed to fill the entire ring. From the sidelines, it appeared as if Noah was trapped in a cage of spectral light.

"He's cornered," soone in the crowd shouted. "Academy Three's got him!"

But Raven and Danika exchanged knowing glances. They recognized what Noah was doing.

Inside the web of Chi projections, Noah's movents beca increasingly economical. Each step, each turn, each block was calculated not just to defend, but to map the patterns of Mira's technique.

'Twenty-three distinct projection points,' Noah calculated as he weaved through another barrage. 'Cycling through seven different formations. Each projection lasts approximately 2.3 seconds before reforming. Her pattern repeats every seventeen seconds.'

A particularly vicious projection caught Noah's side, sending a ripple of pain through his body. He staggered slightly, and Mira pressed her advantage, launChing three simultaneous attacks from different angles.

[–5HP/600]

'Yeah, that's not good. I don't wanna take unnecessary damage in this match. Lucas has already warned . I'd be facing monsters in this tournant,'

Noah's Chi flared defensively, but one of the projections broke through, striking him in the chest. The impact sent him sliding backward, perilously close to the ring boundary.

[–5HP/595]

Mira's lips curved in a satisfied smile. "I can tell you are trying to buy ti to figure it out. That won't save you," she called out. "We have the best teacher and master. Not to ntion, my Chi patterns are too complex to predict fully."

Noah steadied himself, re inches from elimination. His breathing was controlled despite the hit he'd taken. "You're right," he replied calmly. "They're too complex to predict fully."

With sudden explosive movent, Noah charged forward, directly toward Mira. The crowd gasped as he willingly entered the densest part of her Chi projection web.

'But complexity creates vulnerability,' Noah thought as he moved. 'The more intricate the system, the more points of potential failure.'

Instead of attempting to avoid all projections, Noah focused on timing his movents to the rhythm he'd identified. He absorbed glancing blows from several projections, his Chi dampening their impact, as he closed the distance to Mira with inexorable purpose.

Mira's eyes widened in surprise. No opponent had ever pushed through her projection web so deliberately. She hastily reorganized her Chi patterns, creating a final defensive barrier directly in front of her.

But Noah had anticipated this. The mont Mira's concentration shifted to her defense, he changed direction, using the montum of a projection's impact to propel himself laterally across the ring.

'There,' he thought, identifying the critical node in her Chi network. 'The origin point of her projection matrix.'

With perfect timing, Noah struck—not at Mira herself, but at a seemingly empty point in the air beside her. His fist, wreathed in concentrated Chi, connected with what appeared to be nothing.

The effect was imdiate and dramatic. The entire web of Chi projections flickered violently, their patterns disrupted. Mira gasped, her connection to the projections montarily severed.

"Impossible," she whispered. "You found the origin point?"

Noah didn't waste the opening. Before Mira could reestablish her projections, he closed the remaining distance. His strikes ca in rapid succession—three precise hits to Chi circulation points along her arms and torso.

Mira attempted to back away, to recreate distance, but Noah stayed with her, his footwork mirroring hers perfectly. Each ti she tried to establish a new Chi projection, Noah's Chi would disrupt the formation before it could fully materialize.

Desperate, Mira abandoned her usual technique for a direct physical attack. She launched a powerful kick at Noah's midsection, her remaining Chi concentrated in her leg.

Noah caught her ankle with both hands, his own Chi surging to counteract hers. For a mont, they were locked in a direct contest of Chi control—Mira's external projection against Noah's internal mastery.

The air between them felt almost dense with energy as their opposing Chi forces clashed. Noah's aura intensified, pushing back against Mira's technicolor projections.

'Her external projections drain more energy,' Noah realized. 'Efficient for distance fighting, but costly in direct confrontation.'

Being soone that had experience with external Chi projections when he tried to fuse it with his void energy, he knew how draining it could be. And that was child's play compared to the feat his opponent was pulling off right now.

With a surge of concentrated Chi, Noah broke through Mira's defense. In one fluid motion, he redirected her own montum, adding his own force to send her spinning toward the ring boundary.

Mira recovered her balance at the last mont, teetering at the edge of the ring. But Noah had anticipated this too. Before she could fully stabilize, he was there, executing a perfect sweep to her supporting leg.

Unable to maintain her balance, Mira fell backward, out of bounds.

"Elimination!" the official announced. "Academy Three, third competitor eliminated. Victory to Academy Twelve!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Noah stood in the center of the ring, his Chi aura fading as he brought his energy back under control. His breathing was steady despite the exertion, his posture relaxed but alert.

From the sidelines, Raven and Danika approached the boundary line, the expressions on their faces was a mixture of relief and admiration.

"Three eliminations," Raven said, shaking his head in disbelief. "You took out their entire team."

Noah stepped back across the boundary to join his teammates. "The plan worked," he replied simply. "You both wore them down perfectly."

Danika gave him a rare smile. "Don't be modest. You ca up with the plan and then the way you think though!"

As the three of them made their way back to the preparation area, Noah caught sight of Master Anng watching from the elevated faculty section. The old master's expression was unreadable, but he gave Noah a single, approving nod.

'This is just the beginning,' Noah thought as they exited the arena. 'The next rounds will be even more challenging.'

Behind them, the announcent for the next preliminary match echoed through the arena. The tournant was far from over, but Academy Twelve had made its mark. Noah Eclipse had proven himself.

As they reached the preparation area, Noah caught fragnts of conversation from other students.

"Did you see how he found the point of those Chi projections?"

"I've never seen anyone map a Chi pattern that complex so quickly."

"Academy Twelve might actually have a shot at the finals..."

Noah tuned out the chatter, focusing instead on centering himself for the challenges ahead. They had won their first match, but the tournant was just beginning. And sowhere in the arena, the best of the other academies were watching, analyzing, preparing.

'One battle at a ti,' Noah reminded himself. 'One opponent at a ti.' He closed his eyes, allowing his Chi to settle and regenerate. The real test was yet to co.
