"Nyx..." Noah smiled, blood glistening on his teeth. "Awaken."

The words hung in the air for a heartbeat before a dark purple portal materialized in the center of the arena. Red mist poured from its depths, quickly filling the enclosure and obscuring everything within.

The crowd's collective gasp echoed through the stadium as they rose to their feet, straining to see through the red haze.

"What's happening?" soone shouted from the stands. "Is this part of the match?"

In the operations center, technicians frantically worked their consoles as alarms blared.

"Sir!" A technician called to the head official. "We're detecting a massive energy spike from within the arena. It's... it's off the charts!"

The official leaned forward, brow furrowed. "Classification?"

The technician swallowed hard. "Preliminary readings suggest Category 5 beast-level energy, sir. But that's impossible—there are only human contestants in there."

"Which contestant is causing it?"

"That's just it, sir. We can't pinpoint the source. The energy signature doesn't match any registered Awakened ability in our database."

In the VIP section, Academy 8's Headmaster frowned deeply, a mory stirring. "This energy pattern... I've seen sothing similar before."

"When?" Commander Owen asked, not taking his eyes off the mist-filled arena.

"A month ago. There was an incident at my academy—students from your end, the 12th were allegedly involved in an attack. We dismissed it as a routine student feud, but..." She shook her head. "The energy readings were remarkably similar to this."

Headmaster Albright scoffed. "Are you suggesting one of these first-years is producing Category 5 energy levels? Preposterous."

'If anything, it's that damned boy, Eclipse, who is taking these brain rid idiots for a ride!!' he thought internally.

"Is it, though?" another headmaster interjected. "Look at the boy's condition before this happened. He was clearly defeated. Could this be... a reawakening?"

The word sent murmurs rippling through the VIP section.

"A desperate gambit," soone suggested. "His back was against the wall, so he forced a reawakening."

Speculation spread like wildfire, but three faces in the audience showed sothing different entirely. Lucas Grey, the number one student of Academy 12, leaned back in his seat with a knowing smirk. Nearby, Kelvin could barely contain his excitent, bouncing on the balls of his feet. And Sophie, her eyes never leaving the mist-shrouded arena, wore a smile that spoke volus.

"That clever bastard," Lucas muttered, shaking his head in admiration. "So this is how you planned to tell the world."

---

"Sir!" The technician's voice cracked with alarm. "The sensors... they're only detecting three heat signatures in the enclosure, but one of them is... flickering."

The official leaned closer. "Flickering?"

"It's there one second, gone the next, then back again, but in a different position. I've never seen anything like it."

A deafening *BOOM* echoed from within the mist.

"Update!" the technician shouted. "One heat signature has disappeared completely!"

The crowd fell silent, tension thick enough to cut with a knife.

Another *BOOM* reverberated through the stadium, even louder than the first.

"Second heat signature gone, sir! Only one remains!"

In the tense silence that followed, Miss Brooks stood at the edge of the VIP section, her usual impassive expression betrayed by the slight tightening around her eyes. She didn't look surprised—rely alert, like she was witnessing the confirmation of a long-held theory.

A final, earth-shaking *BOOM* thundered from within the mist.

And then, impossibly, the energy barrier around the arena—a construct designed to withstand the most powerful Awakened abilities—simply vanished. Not shattered. Not failed. Just ceased to exist.

Without containnt, the red mist began spreading outward into the stadium.

Before panic could take hold, two purple projectiles—fast as bullets and shaped like one—pierced through the red haze. They streaked across the stadium, bypassing the VIP section entirely and heading straight for where the Rowe family sat. The targets? Mr and Mrs Rowe.

In a blur of movent, Gigarose stood up, her pink hair and attire standing out against the encroaching red mist raised a hand. The purple projectiles froze mid-air, suspended by an invisible force. They rippled out like the surface of the sun while looking well shaped like a 50 caliber.

With a casual flick of her wrist, she dispersed the energy, sending it harmlessly into the atmosphere.

Their intended targets, Mr and Mrs Rowe could never have reacted in ti to stop the bullet but Gigarose did.

As suddenly as it had appeared, the red mist began to dissipate, revealing the arena floor. Everyone moved past it, chucking it up as just accidental. But those that knew...knew. The precision behind the shot, it was never accidental nor did the shooter intend to miss.

However, on the ring floor, the false Lila lay crumpled near one edge, her body twisted at an unnatural angle. Kaiden was sprawled face-down in the center, unmoving. And standing between them, one hand glowing with a purplish aura, was Noah Eclipse.

For a mont, the stadium held its collective breath as the implications sank in.

The supposedly weak first-year student—the one rumored to possess nothing more than a sound-mimicking ability called Perfect Echo—had not only reached the finals but had apparently reawakened to sothing... else.

Sothing powerful enough to defeat two formidable opponents simultaneously.

Sothing that made the air itself crackle with energy.

A slow clap broke the silence, starting from Commander Owen. One by one, others joined in—first the other commanders, then the students, building to a thunderous ovation that shook the stadium. Even the Rowes stood, applauding with practiced smiles, though their eyes remained calculating.

Only Gigarose remained seated, a knowing grin playing across her lips as she watched Noah with undisguised interest.

As the applause reached its crescendo, Noah's form blurred, preceded by a flash of purple energy. In an instant, he vanished from the arena floor and reappeared in the stands, directly in front of Sophie and Kelvin.

He collapsed into Sophie's waiting arms, his body finally giving out now that the fight was over.

"How did I do?" he whispered, his voice barely audible over the continuing applause.

Sophie pressed her lips to his, tears streaming down her face. "Great," she murmured against his mouth. "You did great."

Below, dical teams rushed into the arena to attend to the unconscious competitors while others hurried toward Noah's new position.

The stadium screens displayed the official announcent: "WINNER: NOAH ECLIPSE, ACADEMY 12" as speculation ran rampant through the crowd. What had they just witnessed? A reawakening from First Generation to perhaps S-ranked? Or maybe even SS?

Or could it be—impossible as it seed—that a first-year student had just revealed himself to be the rarest of all Awakened humans: SSS-ranked?

No one knew for certain.

But they would soon find out.

The Nexus Arena buzzed with unprecedented excitent. What should have been just another tournant match had transford into a historic event—a Reawakening, witnessed by thousands. The term rippled through the stands, muttered in hushed, reverent tones.

"A Reawakening in the opening match of the finals!"

"Did you see that purple energy?"

"First Lucas Grey last year, now this Eclipse kid... what are they feeding them at the 12th?"

Commander Owens found himself surrounded by military officials and fellow academy leaders, all eager to offer congratulations on producing yet another extraordinary soldier.

"First Lucas Grey, and now this Eclipse boy," General Martinez clasped Owens' shoulder firmly. "The 12th is becoming quite the powerhouse."

"Two Reawakenings in two years," Admiral Chen added. "Unprecedented in peaceti."

Owens maintained a humble smile, accepting handshakes and shoulder claps with practiced grace. All the while, his eyes scanned the crowd, finally spotting Miss Brooks speaking intently with a dical officer.

"Gentlen, gentlen," Owens raised his hands. "While I appreciate your kind words, the true credit belongs to our exceptional faculty." He gestured toward Miss Brooks, waving her over. "Particularly Miss Brooks, who has personally overseen these students' developnt."

Miss Brooks reluctantly approached, her usually stoic expression betraying mild annoyance at being pulled away from her inquiry.

"Miss Brooks," Owens bead, "these gentlen were just comnding our academy's remarkable success rate. Two Reawakenings in consecutive years is quite the achievent."

"Indeed," she replied flatly. "Though I'm more concerned with Eclipse's current condition than celebrations."

"Always the dedicated instructor," Owens laughed, steering her deeper into the circle. "Miss Brooks has pioneered several innovative training thodologies that push our students to discover their true potential."

But Miss Brooks was barely listening, her attention fixed on the dical team rushing toward the infirmary wing.

---

Throughout the arena concourse, excited chatter continued unabated.

"Used nothing but chi techniques to reach the finals, then pulls out a Reawakening when his back's against the wall? That's so legendary stuff right there."

"Rember when he survived that Category 3 beast attack?"

"And the Cannadah expedition that decimated the third-years? He was just a freshman then."

"Eclipse is entering legendary status. No doubt about it."

---

In a corridor leading to the dical wing, Kelvin practically bounced with each step, his voice echoing off the walls.

"The GOAT! That's what he is—the greatest of all ti!" Kelvin's hands flailed animatedly. "Did you see those purple projectiles? And he just... vanished! Teleported! My best friend just teleported!"

Sophie tried to quiet his enthusiasm, though her own smile was impossible to contain. "Lower your voice. Everyone's staring."

"Let them stare! They should be staring! They just witnessed history!" Kelvin continued. "Noah Eclipse, the baddest man on the planet, is my best friend!"

Lucas Grey walked beside them, his usual confident swagger on full display. "The plan worked perfectly. The look on Albright's face was priceless."

"Thirty minutes since they announced he's stable," Sophie checked her watch. "They should let us see him soon."

Turning a corner, they nearly collided with Diana Frost and Jayden Smoak. Diana's eyes narrowed imdiately.

"Bullshit," she spat. "Complete bullshit."

Sophie stepped back. "Excuse ?"

"That little display in the arena?" Diana crossed her arms. "Eclipse has done it before. When you 12th Academy rats attacked our school."

Jayden nodded. "We saw that purple energy months ago. So spare us the 'Reawakening' theatrics."

Kelvin's jovial deanor vanished. "Watch your mouth when you're talking about—"

"Is there a problem here?" Lucas stepped forward, his presence imdiately commanding attention. At six-foot-two with piercing blue eyes that seed to calculate every possible outco of a confrontation, he radiated authority.

Diana faltered slightly but held her ground. "Your friend's been hiding his abilities. That's cheating."

Lucas smiled coldly. "Accusations are easy to make, Frost. If you have an issue..." He glanced at Jayden. "We can settle it properly in the ring when our match cos up later today."

He stepped closer, his voice lowering. "For now, I suggest you leave my friends alone. They have sowhere important to be."

The tension hung thick for several seconds before Diana backed away, tugging Jayden's sleeve. "This isn't over, Grey."

"It never is with you, is it?" Lucas replied smoothly before turning to Sophie and Kelvin. "Let's go."

In the infirmary of the arena, far from prying eyes, Noah sat on an examination table as a healer, Doctor Reeves checked his vitals. Sophie hadn't left his side, her fingers intertwined with his, while Kelvin paced nearby. Professor Heimdall, beast core expert of the 12th was one of the first to make it in.

Lucas stood by the door, ensuring their privacy.

"Your accelerated healing is... remarkable," Dr. Reeves noted, examining Noah's previously broken ribs that were now rely bruised. "Even for an SSS-ranked, this recovery rate is exceptional."

"So it's confird then?" Heimdall asked quietly. "SSS-ranked?"

Dr. Reeves nodded, showing them a tablet with Noah's latest readings. "No question about it. The energy signature is unmistakable—though unlike the SSS pattern before."

'The system let them scan this ti because I was ready,' Noah thought as he recalled there was no qualms when they scanned him this ti around.

Lucas whistled low. "You realize what this ans, right? There is only one confird SSS-ranked individual on the entire planet. And now you're number two."

"Grey is right. You might just be the second strongest human," Heimdall said, paying particular regard to Noah's hands.

"And by far the yo_" kelvin was going to say before a sound was heard.

A knock at the door silenced them. Heimdall opened it cautiously to reveal Miss Brooks, standing alone in the hallway.

"May I have a mont with Mr. Eclipse?" she asked, her tone making it clear this wasn't really a request.

After a hesitant pause, Heimdall nodded to the others. They filed out reluctantly, Sophie squeezing Noah's hand before letting go.

When they were alone, Miss Brooks approached Noah's bedside, studying him with calculating eyes.

"That was quite a performance, Eclipse."

"Thank you, ma'am."

"Not many students would have the courage or the audacity to reveal an SSS-ranking in such a spectacular fashion."

Noah t her gaze steadily. "Reveal? What makes you think it was planned, mam?"

A ghost of a smile crossed her lips. "Because I've been watching you since day one, Noah. Nothing you do is without purpose."

She placed a small device on the table beside him, pressing a button that emitted a soft hum. "Anti-surveillance," she explained. "What we discuss next doesn't leave this room."

Noah's expression grew serious. "I'm listening."
