The air shimred as Noah materialized within his domain, the familiar sensation of crossing dinsional boundaries washing over him like a cool breeze. Before he could fully orient himself, a streak of azure blue shot through the air, and Storm landed gracefully before him, wings outstretched in greeting.

"Hey there, troublemaker," Noah smiled, reaching out to scratch under the wyvern's chin. Storm preened under the attention, his scales gleaming with an almost tallic sheen in the domain's ethereal light. The creature had grown noticeably since their first eting, though he was still dwarfed by Nyx's massive form.

Speaking of which... Noah's eyes drifted to the elevated platform where Nyx lay curled, his red scales pulsing with a gentle inner light as he slept. The Red death dragon hadn't stirred since consuming the Harbinger core, his body still processing the imnse power it contained. 'Rest well, partner,' Noah thought. 'We might need that strength sooner than we'd like.'

Finding a quiet spot near one of the floating rock formations, Noah settled into a cross-legged position. Storm, sensing his companion's mood, retreated to a nearby perch to watch curiously.

'Ti to get serious,' Noah thought, closing his eyes. Master Anng's words echoed in his mory: "Your body is more than flesh and bone. It is a vessel of power, waiting to be unlocked. Find your core, and you find yourself."

The importance of this training had been driven ho during the Cannadah incident. Noah's jaw tightened at the mory – his void energy depleted, backed into a corner by that monstrous Harbinger. If he hadn't been able to retreat into his domain... 'Never again,' he promised himself. 'I need more than just the system to rely on. Master Anng is plenty strong and has shown it in class and even on Cannadah when back up arrived. I need that level of strong!'

Breathing deeply, Noah began the ditation technique Master Anng had taught them. The first step was to quiet the mind, to sink beneath the surface thoughts like a stone dropping through still water. But every ti he felt close to that state of perfect stillness, his thoughts would scatter like startled fish.

'Focus,' he chided himself. 'The core exists in the form of two triangles, their tips eting at the midsection. That's where I need to look.'

Minutes stretched into what felt like hours. Sweat beaded on Noah's forehead as he struggled to maintain his concentration. The domain's ambient energy swirled around him, almost teasing in its visibility while the energy he sought remained frustratingly elusive.

'Think about what Master Anng said,' he reminded himself. 'The natural core isn't like void energy – it's not about power or force. It's about balance, about finding the center of yourself.'

Just when frustration threatened to overwhelm him, Noah felt... sothing. A flutter of energy, like a candle fla glimpsed through frosted glass. His breath caught, but he forced himself to remain still, to not grasp at it directly.

Slowly, painfully slowly, the energy began to take shape in his awareness. It was exactly where Master Anng had described – he imagined two triangles that had their tips eting at his core. At the tip of these triangles was a sphere of white energy, small like a tennis ball but clear and pulsing.

The sight of it, even in his mind's eye, was beautiful and terrifying in its potential.

'Now cos the hard part,' Noah thought, rembering the next step of the training. He had to learn to move this energy, to guide it through his body like water through channels. Master Anng had made it look effortless, sending the energy wherever he wished, transforming his entire body into a weapon.

Noah focused on trying to guide the energy upward, toward his chest. The response was imdiate – and painful. It felt like trying to push a boulder uphill with his mind. The energy resisted, wanting to remain in its natural position.

Gritting his teeth, Noah persisted. Milliter by milliter, he coaxed the energy upward. His entire body trembled with the effort, sweat now running freely down his face. Storm chirped worriedly from his perch, sensing his companion's distress.

Finally, after what seed like an eternity, Noah managed to move the energy to his chest area. The achievent was short-lived, however, as exhaustion crashed over him like a wave. The energy snapped back to its original position, and Noah fell backward, gasping for air.

'Well,' he thought, staring up at the domain's shifting sky, 'at least now I know what I'm dealing with.' The mory of Master Anng's fluid movents took on a new dinsion of impressiveness. If moving the energy this small distance was so difficult, how much practice had it taken to achieve true mastery?

Storm glided down from his perch, nudging Noah's shoulder with concern. "I'm alright," Noah assured him, reaching down to pat the wyvern's snout. "Just learning that so powers can't be rushed."

As his breathing steadied, Noah reflected on the experience. The natural core's energy felt fundantally different from void energy – less aggressive, more subtle, but sohow deeper. Understanding how to use both might be the key to surviving when things got truly desperate.

Still catching his breath from the core energy practice, Noah pulled up his status window, the familiar blue interface materializing before him:

Entropy Touch (Level 1) - Single-target decay effect (Void energy - 50)

Noah studied the numbers carefully, his analytical mind already breaking down the implications. 'The physical attributes are improving,' he mused, 'but not fast enough for what's coming.' The Cannadah incident had taught him that raw power wasn't enough – he needed to be faster, stronger, more resilient.

The experience bar caught his attention. So close to leveling up, yet the system remained stubbornly silent about quests. 'Typical,' he thought with a wry smile. 'It only shows up when I'm about to die.' Every major level jump had co from so near-death experience or impossible situation. The system seed to have a twisted sense of timing.

A quick check of his void storage showed the cores he'd collected were still there, waiting to be used or traded. But right now, he had more pressing concerns – like the fact that he'd been "showering" for an suspiciously long ti.

"*Domain*" he spoke softly, and the familiar purple energy swirled around him once more. When it cleared, he was back in his bathroom, the tiles cool beneath his feet.

He quickly turned on the shower, letting the water run over him just enough to create the illusion of having bathed. Running a hand through his deliberately dampened hair, Noah erged from the bathroom to find the dorm room bathed in evening shadows.

Kelvin looked up from his tablet. "Dude, I was about to send a search party. Did you fall through the drain or sothing?"

"Lost track of ti," Noah replied casually, toweling his hair. Through the window, he could see the academy's lights coming on, marking paths through the growing darkness. Sowhere out there, Lucas Grey was waiting with information important enough to warrant a night eting.

'Ti to find out what the academy's number one student thinks I need to know,' Noah thought, reaching for a fresh shirt. Whatever it was, he had a feeling it would be another piece in the increasingly complex puzzle his life had beco.

After all, nothing at this academy was ever simple – especially not when Lucas Grey was involved.
