Almond felt their gazes on him, but only for a brief mont as if scanning him and checking sothing.
He continued walking and entered inside the door, but it was clear that this library was also a pocket dinsion of sorts as Almond found himself in a world of no sky or ground.
He floated automatically and could move just by thinking.
There were a bunch of books of various designs and sizes floating around in this world.
"As expected of Senior Harken! Look at the amount of big books surrounding him!"
"Damn, I am envious."
Almond looked in the direction of the commotion and saw a man wearing a mage robe and round glasses surrounded by over twenty books.
Most of the students only had a couple to five books around them.
"Wait, that book! Isn't it one of the top-tier ones?!"
"It's Soaring Bird's Divine Song. Holy crap!"
"That's an Immortal Emperor rank Prana Art! The highest rank available on the second layer!"
"He won't need to change Prana Art until he reaches there. Fuck, to get this rank of Prana Art so soon, Harken is lucky."

Almond heard the voice, and it belonged to an elf girl looking in her twenties with shining blond hair smiling at him.
Nodding at her, he said, "Thanks. I'll do that."
Many students showed envy at this exchange of words, indicating that the elf girl was kind of famous.
Almond closed his eyes and released threads made of soul energy that shot toward the books.
"I want only one that's most suitable to , so don't fight and make the choice."
The books nodded.
One of the students laughed with a silly expression and said, "It's my first ti seeing a student telling the books to make a choice when usually it's the other way around. What kind of monster is he to have this many books go for him?"

The few students nearby saw Harken's expression and quietly left without saying anything anymore.

The books moved and looked at each other before almost all of them moved back... except for one.
The one book that was black with scaled patterns and carved design of golden fangs. It had a vertical eye at the center and a wing-like extender from its edges.
The students looked at it curiously, just like Almond, who stretched his hand and grabbed the book.
The eye blinked, and the maws holding fangs grinned. It appeared creepy but gave an innocent vibe.
"Infuse a bit of your Prana in the book," the blond-haired elf girl said. "Immortal Emperor Prana Arts are personal and can only be used by one person. This book will enter your source space, and once you begin learning it, it will transform into a spirit."
