Lily leaned over the table and refreshed the system nu again.

Ainen nodded approvingly.
Almond blinked. "Since we are nine players, Velkris takes the 10th spot. Among my spirit lords, he may be the best at this ga with his arsenal of spatial prowess."
The air behind him distorted slightly.
A tall figure stepped forward from a ripple of spectral light.
Alfred.
The Spirit Lord bowed calmly.
"If my lord requires it."
Almond nodded.
"You will run one segnt."
Alfred’s eyes glowed faintly.
"It will be done."
The system accepted the adjustnt.

The first relay cores ignited with golden light as the starting runners grabbed them.

A dense forest stretched ahead, but the trees were not normal.
The trunks were twisted like iron spirals, and the ground was littered with glowing runes.
The first trap activated imdiately.
The mont Almond stepped across the first rune field, hundreds of wooden spikes shot upward from the soil.
He didn’t slow.

Voidfracture lines tore across the spike field, and the trap disintegrated before the spikes could even fully form.
Behind him, another runner tried to charge through the sa trap.

Massive Tier-9 horned panthers leaped from the branches above, their claws glowing with toxic energy.
Almond stepped forward.
His blade moved once.
The panthers split apart mid-air and crashed behind him.
The forest suddenly ended in a massive cliff range.
The terrain collapsed into a series of floating stone pillars over a bottomless abyss.
Almond stepped forward and ran across them with calm precision.
A rival runner using wind magic surged beside him, trying to overtake.
Almond glanced once.
His blade moved again.
A thin fracture sliced through the pillar beneath the rival.
The stone collapsed.
"What?!" He looked in the direction of Almond, but a sudden burst of gravity swallowed him down.

Almond grinned as he continued.

When an avalanche roared down toward her, she lifted one hand.
A wall of crystalline frost split the avalanche in half.

Magma rivers flowed between shattered rock fields.

When a lava titan rose from the ground to block him, Gopu simply slamd into it head-first while activating two cards, turning his body almost indestructible as the dragon scales all over glinted brightly.
Boom!
Erging from a hole in the peak Tier-9 titan’s chest, Gopu continued.

The terrain constantly shifted.
